^No, there will be Enchanted Forest flashbacks. According to Lana, she and Emilie shot a few scenes together which makes me think that the writers are going to show us what happened between Belle and Regina. I think her episode is going to focus on her time in the mental institution.

Yeah, Jane tweeted a few weeks ago that we were going to see Belle’s history with Regina and what it was like when she was locked up.

Yep, this is meant to be Ethan Embry/Barrett’s first ep, I believe.
Now I’m back to pondering my little theory of him being a real world person as opposed to someone from a magical land.
I like the idea that the title The Outsider could refer to Ethan Embry’s character, Barrett. The title could also refer to Belle herself. Regina said after Rumpelstiltskin cast out Belle, she became an outcast and was turned out by her father. While Regina obviously lied about Belle throwing herself off of a tower, there could be a nugget of truth buried in there; it’s possible that Belle was in fact made an outcast for having been associated with the dark one.

I’m so happy to read that Belle will get her own episode. I really hope we get to see Belle stand up to Regina in current-day SB. Earlier this season I read in TV Guide lightening round 2, Adam and Eddy replied positively to this question of whether we’d ever see it:
Will Belle (Emilie de Ravin) ever confront Regina for locking her up?
Hororwitz: She should!

I think the title is a mixture of Belle’s feelings about being locked up and separated from society for so long, and the introduction of Ethan Embry’s character. I wonder why the writers chose this particular episode to introduce him? I read a nice little theory that maybe Ethan’s character wonders into the library to get more information on Storybrooke, and that’s when Belle tels him his story. Maybe that’ll be her way of making him believe in magic.
…if that’s the case. A lot of people seem to think that he’ll be a true outsider. No knowledge of magic or curses whatsoever. So, that would be nice.

I agree that the title is probably about Belle and Ethan Embry’s character.
I like the theory that the new character is the Wizard of Oz. Oz was definitely an outsider (being from Kansas and not Oz), so it would make sense. But if it is revealed that he’s Oz, then what does that make Belle? Dorothy? She does know a “cowardly lion” (Rumpel,) and Rumpel has shown a particular interest in the ruby slippers.

I’d have a permanent smile on my face if that happened. 😀

OMG! She does! 😮
November 25, 2012 at 2:55 am #162140cherishParticipantGood for Belle. I’ve been anxious to see her first character centric episode. I’d love to see her relationship with Regina too. If the rumors about Emilie and Lana sharing a few scenes together are true, then this episode is going to be gooooooooood!
I’ve always wanted to see Belle let loose and give Regina piece of her mind.
November 25, 2012 at 4:16 pm #162213snowfallsParticipantAwesome! I was beginning to think that the writers were going to skip over Belle’s first character centric episode. Can’t wait to see it! And I definitely can’t wait to see her scenes with Regina. I’d like to see Belle express just how lonely she was in the mental asylum. The episode title is very fitting for her. 🙁
