Why was baby Regina a redhead?
You’re really stuck on that, aren’t you? lol
Look at Pinocchio. He was a red head for his childhood and August certainly wasn’t.
She was a red head cause that’s the baby they chose at that time. And Cora had dark red-brown hair that got darker as she aged. Same with Regina

Did I miss something? Compared to Eva Allen (Young Princess Eva), Eric Lange looks a great deal older. Maybe he has other qualities which made him attractive to Eva: a royal title, a castle, a good heart.

He is a lot older than Eva but didn’t we already know that? Leo was quite a bit older in Fruit than Eva was in The Queen is Dead, and only 8 years had passed since then. I think this is going to be a love story that shows love at any age.
And he is a dead ringer for Richard Schiff.

Good point! Rumbelle is another example of true love being age-defying, and based on what Leo said about his first wife in “Fruit of the Poisonous Tree” Leo really loved Snow’s mother. I wonder if it was mutual? We’ve never gotten to see Leo and Eva interact on screen before. I’d like to think Snow White came from a True Love union, but it was young Regina who taught Snow what true love is when Snow saw her kissing Daniel.

Yes, he is! The casting department really nailed it!

IMO, it detracts from the significance of that moment unless she thought the baby was dead or something like that.

Heh! Yes very.. but only ’cause I would love that story so much. And francly if the explaination turns out too be as you say- Thats the baby that was handy, then thats just boring. Its not only the red hair thing, there is a lot of things in here that ties in perfect if Wicked is the real Regina.
blazin’ H’lls I cant wait to find out the answer to this one !
February 5, 2014 at 4:26 pm #243107RumplesGirlKeymasterI think the one thing that you do need to consider, @Grimmsistr, is that the casual viewer might not take a shine to your theory. We’re going to be luck if the casual viewer *remembers* Leo and Eva at this point. They are almost NEVER brought up. So the idea of baby swapping and changelings and torrid Eva/Henry Sr love affairs seems so soap opery that the casual viewer might not be thrilled. And also, this gets promoted as a family show. (whether it actually is, is a totally different debate)
Don’t know how the mouse would feel about some of this…
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"February 5, 2014 at 5:22 pm #243128CindersParticipantWe keep talking about Eva and Leo’s child, and I could see WWW being their child.
But Leo is coming to us as looking for a love match. To tell us something important. To give us information regarding the current story.
My theory is that Rumple introduces himself to Leo and proposes a deal. I will find your love match. You give me your firstborn. Or, perhaps he makes that deal with Eva.
Rumple foresees that he needs Cora’s baby, Regina, to cast the curse. But he also foresees that he needs Eva’s firstborn to cast whatever WWW’s curse is, to free him from whatever state he’s in.

Interesting idea! Would he need to make a deal with either of them for their child if he’s already foreseen that she’ll play a role though? He knew all about Snow, including her name, which allowed him to make that crack to Cora when she was in her wedding dress.
I could see Rumple’s role maybe being if Cora’s trying to sabotage Eva finding her twu wuv, and Rumple’s there putting Cora in her place, maybe with a bit of, “You can’t fight fate, dearie.” Perhaps Leo and Eva have trouble conceiving. Oh idea, perhaps Cora tries to curse Eva to be infertile, (we know that’s a thing that can be done). And Rumple’s there behind the scenes watching Cora’s attempts fail. Actually, that could be a fun take on the traditional version of Snow White, where the Step Mother disguises herself several times and gives Snow several different things to curse her, but every time she tries, her efforts are undone. Traditionally it’s the Step Mother cursing Snow White and the Dwarves intervening, but REALLY it was Cora cursing Eva and Rumple intervening.
And Leo would have no idea that any of it was going on, especially if Sneaky Cora is disguising herself as someone else to get close to Eva, like the Step Mother did in the traditional story to get close to Snow, so there’s no retcon needed for him not having known Cora in Stable Boy.

What if she’s a really sweet beautiful girl who’s in love with Leo? What if Leo wants to marry for love, but is forced to marry for political gain and later grows to love Eva.
WWW loses her love to Eva, possibly loses him again to Regina. Maybe it was Cora who turned her green so Leo would select Regina as wife 2.
Going further into present time, what if our Robin Hood story actually begins with Wicked/Hood?
