Could Robin Hood be making a triumphant return?
Over the past five years, Once Upon a Time’s creators and executive producers, Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis, have stressed to fans that even in the darkest times, this is a series about hope and that true believers will, more often than not, get their happy endings.
However, as we approach season six of the magical drama, which premieres on ABC this Sunday, it’s looking very unlikely that Robin, played by Sean Maguire, will return to our story after having his soul obliterated by Hades.

[adrotate group="5"]September 20, 2016 at 4:49 pm #327378WickedRegalParticipantDid they really have the nerve to say that “Dead Is Dead”?!!!!!
Dead wasn’t dead when they brought David back…dead wasn’t dead when they brought Rumple back….and we all know dead wasn’t dead when they brought Hook back for the third time?! But Dead is Dead when it comes down to Robin Hood?! Okay…Adam and Eddy…okay.

It’s 315 all over again.

They literally went to the Underworld and brought a character back to life last season. Dead is not dead. Dead is dead when ABC wants them dead and when it is convenient to their plot. They are the worst show runners i have ever seen.
September 20, 2016 at 7:49 pm #327386TheWatcherParticipantIf you scroll down to the bottom of the page, an ad saying “Hollywood mourns the death of this young starlet” has a picture of Bailee Madison (Young Snow) on it.
Shes not even dead….
idk if anyone else can see it, but I can. Weird.

the “without skipping a beat” is really the best part here. He doesn’t even need to think about it.
Also, their whole “we see all of the tweets–all 3,000 of them every five seconds…” WOW. Talk about passive aggressive. I’ve been saying it for years but these two need to get off social media because they aren’t emotionally mature enough to be showrunners and deal with a rabid fanbase who has the ability to communite 24/7/365 in 140 characters.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"September 20, 2016 at 10:26 pm #327399hjbauParticipantI agree. The writers should not be on twitter. They should not read what the fans say. They just can not deal with it. Here Eddie doesn’t even have a twitter and he is still trolling the tags, getting upset about people being angry about something. He is the worst show runner. Adam needs to unchain himself from him and find someone else. This show could have been good and been remembered, it will not be.
September 20, 2016 at 10:45 pm #327400nevermoreParticipantFor further clarification, we asked one final question on the matter: “Basically you’re not going to pull a Hook and bring [Robin Hood] back?
“You know, ‘I just don’t see that happening,’ would be the respectful answer to our fans.”
Seriously? I’m beginning to think that Kistis is an actual, bonafide troll — not like a metaphorical or accidental troll who just doesn’t know any better — no, like a real one. With way too wide of a platform. Because that’s the only explanation for this article that makes any sense here.
September 20, 2016 at 11:43 pm #327402PheeParticipantIt’s times like these I really wish we could use really bad words on this forum, because you kinda need them in order to convey the extent of the stupidity that is this article!!
Obvioulsy a big WORD to what you all have said about the Trolls and how pooply they handled this, (I just noticed this typo, it was meant to be “poorly” but actually I’m editing the post to say that I’m gonna leave that typo, because it totally works). But I’d also like to give an honourary mention to the person who wrote this article in the first place, with that headline, just trying to bait the crap out of the poor Hoodies. NOTHING ABOUT THIS ARTICLE IS COOL OR OK.
“And by moving on, we don’t mean like falling in love with someone right away. That’s not realistic to us,” Horowitz explained. “This was someone she did love and who she did lose, and we hope that we deal with that grief and his aftermath in a real way.”
That sound you heard was Neal Cassidy violently rolling over and over and over in his deader than dead grave.

Perhaps over analyzing it a bit too much. I can’t help but feel like these guys are constantly walking on egg shells. It seems no matter what they say, there’s at least one word that doesn’t sit right with people. Characters die. Characters live. They have the power to bring back whoever they want. They clearly are not bringing back Robin Hood. And for fans who liked the character or felt his death was done poorly, pretty much whatever they say on the matter is going to irk them. If you aren’t a fan of Hook and were annoyed when they brought him back the way that they did, anything the writers say regarding Hook, especially when the interviewer asks and compares him to Robin Hood, is not going to sit well.
What they really should stop doing are these interviews. They know they are going to get asked these questions and no matter what they say, it’s going to piss someone off. I feel bad for them but I also don’t because they opened up the door to bring people back from the dead. And when you do it for one character and not the other, it poses problems and they’re up for scrutiny. The big problem was they wanted to bring back Hook, and wanted to kill Robin, so they created a crystal that would literally “end” Robin Hood so he wouldn’t be able to be brought back. But then the fan base got upset because how could you just “end” and “obliterate” a loving father and a good soul like that? So now they are stuck. They should just tell their story and stop worrying about what the fans think because you can’t please everyone.
