    Hold up. Wait… what?!

Once Upon a Time’s season six premiere just sliced across our hearts like — well, for lack of a better metaphor — a Savior-killing sword, and we’re now left clutching our chests and desperate for breath. In a premonition of her future, Emma discovered that a hooded figure will kill her by plunging a sword deep into her chest, thus ending her life for good.

It was shocking, and bloody, and we still can’t believe our eyes. So to help you cope with the chaos, we caught up with Once executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis at a press screening earlier this week, and asked them to spill the answers to our most burning questions.

Could the person under the hood be someone we’ve met before or someone new who will be introduced?
    EK:
It could be someone we’ve met before. I definitely would say it is somebody we’ve met before.
AH: Or someone we haven’t met yet.
EK: Whoever is in the hood is going to be a mystery.

…….So…yes? No? Eddy literally gives two conflicting answers.

I’m surprised the sword wasn’t wiggly, to go along with the robe. I took that vision to be Emma struggling against her own dark nature, which is kind of a stale old story now, but since that’s the theme of this season, and they’re talking about saviors who can never, ever let themselves slip up even once, Emma has a metaphor for that.

The vision showed Emma getting stabbed, but not actually dying. Not that it matters, as death isn’t the end on OUAT. Even obliteration isn’t the end apparently, so I for one am not “clutching my chest and desperate for breath” with worry.

This is exactly the problem that was caused by the previous season. There is no death, there are no stakes, Emma will be fine and we lose interest.

That’s what I think, more or less, except it’s not Emma’s dark nature it’s her insecure nature, the one that puts up walls when she is hurt or scared. I think if Emma gets split like Regina it won’t be he and the Dark Swan, it’ll be our Emma and basically her insecurities in bodily form.

Said the same thing in another thread. You’re right; there are no real stakes here.

See I disagree.  I could see them killing the Savior if she does so to protect everyone she loves and goes out in true Savior form.  And the suspense part of it is who exactly is under the cloak.  And I love the idea that every Savior has a villain that is sort of their crutch.  Again my bet, is that it’s Rumple.

And if she dies so what? She’ll just live in a red filterred Storybrooke.

And the gang will just go save her or Zeus/other god will bring her back.
