The way I could see this playing out is that Neal’s confession freaks Emma out, because she’s reeling that he still has feelings for her like she still has feelings for him, and the potential of trying again is sort of scary, which is why she’s been trying to deny it to herself up until now.
I don’t think that this scene will end with a big, happy, loved up reunion. I think that this may well be the last time Emma (or anyone else) sees him before he disappears to wherever MAPvillie ends up being. So if they argue here, and then he disappears, that’s angst for Emma over the last words she said to someone she cared about having been said in anger, and also regret if she doesn’t confess her true feelings back to him when she has the chance.
Losing Neal all over again will drive her to find someone to grab onto to steady and distract herself, someone she can express all her pent up emotions with, and that person will be Hook. Then once CaptainSwan get into the swing of things, Neal will show up again and Emma will get thrown for yet another emo loop, because there’s still so much unresolved between SwanFire, and they won’t be able to ignore it.
Then there’ll be a Shipping War to rival the Ogres Wars.
Yes, that’s more or less how I imagine they’ll establish the Neal/Emma/Hook triangle. Especially if everyone does think Neal’s dead, gone for good, as I imagine they’ll be. How that happens is still a mystery, though. Maybe through the activation of the fail-safe crystal?

PS. My browser is a CaptainSwan shipper, because it crashed right after I’d watched the clip. 😛

Agree 100%. While I do think Swanfire is end game I also think they cannot ignore CaptainSwan. Emma and Neal both need to confess their feelings but Emma still needs to learn to trust and to open back up and I think she and Hook would be perfectly matched in this regard. She could learn to move beyond the anger of abandonment and he can move beyond Milah. But then they realize that their only purpose in being together was to heal, it wasn’t forever. And then CaptainEvil and SwanFire!

H and K ship Swanfire. It’s canon. 🙂
The Emma and Neal scene is going to kill me.
ok, I thought a canon was a pair of people that are just friends to of the same sex so I must be wrong on a cannon thing where do you people come up with this stuff cannon, shipping instead of relationship?
In the world of fandoms canon is everything that happens on the show (or movie, book, game, whatever the fandom is about) , meaning person, relationship, events that have been shown or mentioned in the show. So that H and K ship Swanfire doesn’t make it actually canon, more that the two had been in a relationship and that they obviously still have feelings for each other, as it is shown in the episodes. Rumbelle is another example of a relationship in OUaT which is canon, and of course Snow and Prince Charming. Not canon is (so far) for example Red and Dr. Whale, Regina and Hook or Mulan and Aurora.
Ship is short for relationship and shipping means to favor a fictional relationship of characters, be it canon or not.
Most of these terms evolved in fan faction writing. It’s not specifically internet lingo, uhm, language.

It’s a little victory in that it’s official confirmation that Neal at least hasn’t moved on. This indicates that the SwanFire romance isn’t dead in the water, and that it’s a theme they intend to explore.
The key I think is that the show IS exploring things. I see the potential of both Swanfire and CaptainSwan.
I kind of thought watching the video, given that E does most of the talking while A just sits there–what if E really likes Emma and Neal, and A really likes Emma with Hook? Wouldn’t it be funny if the producers haven’t decided yet what “endgame” will be for their heroine, because they themselves are actually of two minds cause they are you know, two people 😆 ?

😆 Drama and angst–it is why writers just can’t stop using triangles.

Lol, yep. The major relationship angst of S3 is going to be CaptainSwanFire. I’ve said this other places but if S1 was Snowing angst and S2 was Rumbelle angst then S3 has got to be CSF.
I just hope we can all be calm about it while it happens…"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"May 1, 2013 at 7:41 pm #190469MyrilParticipant@KFChimera wrote:

So do I, although more physical tension in CaptainSwan than potential for romance, so have a bit of a hard time to see CaptainSwan as happy ending (endgame) of the show. Never saw SwanFire as dead in the water in the first place, after all major themes of this show are hope and love, and there were enough hints on the show so far, that Emma and Neal both still have feelings. But this is drama, and that means, be in for a ride, don’t expect a happy ending before the last season.
