The rest of this season just keeps giving my theory of Reul Ghorm aka the Blue Fairy and the Sorcerer are working together to rid the world permanently of the Dark One weight. Think about, how did the Spinners that took care of Rumpelstiltskin as a child get the bean that took Rumpelstiltskin and his father to Neverland? How did that child seer get to that particular camp where Rumpelstiltskin was stationed? Why didn’t the Blue Fairy tell Baelfire about True Love’s Kiss (Baelfire aka Neal was still young enough that he could have broken Rumpelstiltskin’s curse with the True Love that a child feels for their parent)? Why did the Blue Fairy seemed scared of what she was locked in the hat with? The Chernabog must have scented the darkness that tainted the Blue Fairy from her actions and the evil she had caused over the centuries and went after her in the hat.

I had honestly never thought about TLK with Bae and Rumple. Good insight. Plot hole or intentional? And we’ve seen parents kiss their child, but not the other way around – maybe they’d claim it wouldn’t have worked because a child’s love for their parent isn’t as strong as a parent’s love for their child.

BF in the diner scene in Darkness on the Edge of Town really made me think she’s in league with the Sorcerer. I really like the idea that she’s out to destroy the dark one curse.
Also, I read some trivia that A & E wanted Lady Gaga to play the Blue Fairy originally, but it didn’t work out. Asking Gaga to play BF could possibly mean 2 things: 1. This character isn’t that important and we won’t need the actress often, or 2. We need someone who can make the BF a monster as the story develops.

Originally wanting Lady Gaga also makes me wonder if they wanted her because her story was going to be important. Assuming they had at least planned out the whole first season in advance, she had some pretty important moments.

I agree. Blue Fairy is certainly shady. She seems to have convinced herself she’s working on the side of the greater good. Yet, she’s also a hypocrite and known liar. She said fairies don’t lie, but then she lied to Snow White and Prince Charming about the enchanted wardrobe only being able to transport one person when in fact, it could transport two. What’s to stop her from lying again?

I certainly think the Blue Fairy and the Sorcerer and/or Author are in cahoots. If the Blue Fairy had wanted the dark one curse broken, wouldn’t she have told Baelfire about TLK, since that would’ve broken his papa’s curse once and for all? Rather, I think the Blue Fairy has designs on Henry. Instead of telling Baelfire about TLK, she gave the bean to Baelfire, which sparked all of the events of S1.
I almost wonder if what the Blue Fairy actually wanted was for Bae to come to A Land Without Magic, in order that he might meet Emma, and she would have Henry. Certainly, that was what Peter Pan was after: the heart of the truest believer. Might the Blue Fairy and the Sorcerer also have needed Henry for some greater design? Not only is Henry the product of true love, but he also is the product of the greatest light magic and the greatest dark magic, as both Peter Pan and Rumple have said.

Screwball Ninja had some fix a plot hole head canons involving Blue Fairy that make sense and would throw serious shade on Blue Fairy if true:
The Blue Fairy had King Leo and young Snow under her magical protection until Snow turned 21, which is why Regina had to wait decades for her revenge
The Blue Fairy tightly regulates the supply of remaining magic beans, but because she can see the future she chucked them at Rumple a bunch of times (she gave a bean to the Spinners to get young Rumple out of the way, she gave Baelfire another bean for the same reason)
The Blue Fairy made a deal with Pan: he gives her a steady supply of pixie dust and she ignores all those missing children
The Blue Fairy made a deal with the ogres: if they leave certain royal families alone whose bloodlines are important to future generations, they can eat the peasants (what, you thought none of the kids in Baelfire’s time wished upon a star not to be eaten by ogres?)
All magic comes with a price!

Her presence of this episode was really unnecessary, unless the writers wanted to include her in this episode specifically because it revealed the author. I could also see it being a possibility that the author forced her to do some of her shady actions.
