Most Favorite:
-The interaction between Regina and Rumple they are always so interesting to watch π
– Regina and Snow’s conversation, so sad so beautiful. Damn why does Regina have to be so impulsive. π₯
– Emma break into Neal’s room, hilarious π
– Regina’s running away from Snow, my baby is so funny π
– Regina knowing her guards names. Very impressed, she seems to have her a close relationship with them.
– Watching Hook’s face when realizing he failed in killing Rumple π
– Regina’s interaction with Hook (I know he betrayed her and everything but there was something there that kept making me blush don’t know what, it could be that they are both so attractive.) π³
– How cute my baby Regina look as she said that she could be a hero in the same sentence as destroying Storybrooke and killing everyone (seriously she is just adorable)
– And last but not least Maleficent is not dead!!! She is not herself but not dead either which means she might come back and how excited am I about that. From all the villains from Disney Maleficent is my most favorite. She is the “Mistress of all Evil” after all. I am just hoping that when they actually have her return, if they have her return, they better have her return, she can be the most evil villain ever. πLeast favorite:
-Everything Greg, I hate him so much and if he hurts Regina…. πΏ
-Everything Tamara, same as above.
-Hook betraying Regina, that ass!!! If he changes his mind he will be forgiven but as of now I want his head on a spike.Other that the things above I had no problem with the episode, I liked it and thought it was really good. Getting so pumped for the season finally.

Leroy: “Oh, no! The beans are ruined!”
Snow: “We’ll have to start over from the cuttings we’ve all been growing in our gardens.”
David: (Holding his cell phone) “Anton’s at site B. He says everything’s fine there.”
Leroy: “We should check the rest of the secondary sites.”
Snow: “Yes, but not the tertiary sites. We don’t want to draw attention to them. Remember, we knew we couldn’t prevent the town’s resident supervillains from discovering our plan, but at least we made sure they couldn’t ruin everything.”
Leroy: “Preaching to the choir, sister. We’re all experienced revolutionaries.”
David: “Tertiary?”Gaultheria's fanvids: http://youtube.com/sagethrasher
April 29, 2013 at 12:53 pm #189614PheeParticipantThe only thing that made me roll my eyes during this ep was Regina insisting, “I am not evil,” and, “They only see the Evil Queen, which they made me.” God bless Rumple for at least attempting to point out in his delightfully sarcastic tone that she was deluded.
Loved the stuff with Snow and Regina, because it showed that Snow probably actually knows Regina better than she knows herself these days.
Loved the stuff with Henry and Emma, which got even better when Nealfire showed up. Father and son were both wearing red striped scarves, which was cute.
Loved that we got lots of (poor limpy) Hook! He was especially awesome in the scene in Regina’s office with all the “Your mother would love that, it’s exactly what she’d have wanted for you,” talk. Really laying it on extra thick to bait her into recruiting him. Well played, Hook m’dear! π
April 29, 2013 at 1:50 pm #189643elleParticipantI ended up liking this episode a bit more than I had thought I would. That said, I still cannont get into it since it was mostly meant to give Regina sympathy, and I am personally tired of the show doing that.
Some of the good stuff was the Fairytale Land side, but at the same time it got hindered by Regina slaughtering a whole village of innocent people (men, woman, and children) and then questioning why they don’t live her, while claiming that they would eventually learn in time and ugh…seriously, she was just annoying.
The scenes with her and Snow White were touching–both Giniifer Goodwin and Lana Parrilla are wonderful on their own, but together they shine. It was great to see Snow White as a bandit, yet caring for Regina and still thinking of her fondly, even after all she had done to her.
The scene where Snow White takes it all back after she sees the murdered villagers was understandable–I totally get it, and am not surprised that she did that, and I don’t think she gets quite enough credit for not killing Regina in that scene when she could have.
It is sad since both woman (in the scene) still had some love and caring towards each other, and a lot good moments could have come…but alas.
The final scene where Regina become all evil in Fairytale Land was just dumb. I understand how she comes to that conclusion, and why, but still. She seems to think only of herself and how she is the victim and all.
The slight rumbelle moments in this episode were sweet, and it was great to see them again.
The Storybrooke side was also good, but still not as good with Regina being whiney and going on about how she can be the hero if she kills everyone in the town. I like Lana Parrilla, but the character has just gone really downhill. She no longer is a threat or very sympathetic. She just is annoying.
Still, Captain Hook coming back did give the episode some humor that it needed, and we got to see a bit more of his character when he talks about how empty he will be after his revenge. Also, his scene with Maleficent was really cool. Normally the CGI is either okay or bad, with the occasional good. I felt that this was one of the few episodes where it was good. Something about the design of Maleficent was pretty cool.
I really loved the Emma and Henry scenes–it gave the episode a nostalgic feeling back with season 1 that was really needed.
Overall, it was good. Not a favorite. But good.
April 29, 2013 at 2:02 pm #189651SlurpeezParticipantFavorite moment: Seeing Emma and Henry team up again for Operation Preying-mantis was so cute. I thought it was funny seeing Henry be Emma’s lookout and Neal not falling for it because he taught her how to do that. π
Least-favorite moment: Maleficent’s magically animated corpse was full-on CREEPY! Didn’t like that one bit, plus I bet it gives kids nightmares.

Loved that bit, though it was really sad with him talking about it being an end, not a beginning. Maybe he was just a little bit relieved that Rumple was still alive, because at least now he still has a reason to get up in the morning.

It’s strange how sometimes the CGI can be a real miss, but other times it’s spot on. All the caves and Maleficent were pretty much flawless.

Seeing Mal again, creepy and weird, but don’t like the implication she’s done for now, courtesy of GOAT.
The cross and double cross between Hook and Regina.
Greg’s “I’m a man on a mission” line—I feel that must be a reference to some movie somehow.
Least Favorite:
Regina telling Henry with a straight face that she will be a hero by killing everyone. We need Inigo Montoya to pop up and say “You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it does.”βIf I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?β -- Lewis Carroll, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking-Glass

FTL scenes especially the Rumple and Regina ones. You could see the old Regina when Snow is talking to her. I think Regina was actually shocked at seeing the bodies. I think she’s never seen the actual reality of her actions. She gave the order to kill all the villagers and for her that was the end of it. However, when she saw the bodies, she was confronted with the consequences of her actions.
I liked Hook’s realisation that there may be more to life than revenge.
Maleficent was freaky. She was a skeleton and part dragon, kind of stuck between forms, neither human or dragon but a mixture of both.
The Emma and Henry moments. It’s great when Henry’s not being whiny and annoying. Great acting by Jared Gilmore when Regina used the memory spell on Henry.
Least favourite
Snow dismissing Emma’s concerns about Tamara so easily. You’d at least want to know why Tamara has a list of people with their FTL names especially as she’s not that well known to anyone besides Neal. The fact that Tamara has seemingly taken so easily to a town full of people from FTL when it took Emma a whole season to believe in the curse should be suspicious all on its own.

Keeper of FelixApril 29, 2013 at 8:59 pm #189787eastofthesunParticipantThis episode was great!
LOVED:
–Henry/Emma Operation Praying Mantis..I didn’t realize how much I missed the Emma/Henry Bonding, until I saw it again this episode, it was much needed, their scenes where funny, cute and perfect!!–Neal/Emma/Henry scene….favorite scene in the episode!!! SWANFIRE FEELS! I love Emma/Neal,(OTP) their characters are great apart but even better together, I love how they are giving us little hints in the episodes about their history together (Mayo,Thief/team tricks) , hope we have a flashback in S3 to their first days together when the fell in love!! It was SO funny when Neal figured out it was Emma inside because of the awkward hitting the door trick!…and when Emma was explaining to Henry about the door trick I think I died because of the cuteness! All the actors where amazing in this scene, great writing and execution!!
–Henry wants to live in a castle with Emma/Neal (SWANFIRE FAMILY FEELINGS!) I was fangirling like a teen girl embarrassing π³
–Hook is back, and looking sexy!!! π Loved his scenes!! On a long side note: I’m sorry to other shippers but I have to say that I’m aboard the CaptainEvil ship. I think they are very much a like, and have an understanding of each other, I like that Hook seems more himself and less a caricature of himself when around Regina, without masks or flirty innuendos, he is just Killian Jones. Imagine the possibilities 2 villains that help each other be better, hope Regina opens up to him, and I hope the Captain will see the real Regina under the EvilQueen facade. I want both characters to be redeemed but still maintain a certain level of wickedness.. This couple was made for HBO or fanfiction lolz π I know its a very teen soapy comparison, so forgive me in advance, but they remind me of the potential epicness a la Chuck/Blair (2 wicked characters with a heart) had in the show Gossip Girl (Season 1-2 only) before it became the WORST show on TV lolz!!!
–Regina Snow backstory…broke my heart in a good way…poor Regina she can be good, but she is psychologically damaged and doesn’t seem to see when she is doing bad things π
DISLIKED: FRUSTRATING MOMENTS:
– Tamara playing Neal…poor Neal, why cant he see the real Tamara, he seems so clueless and naive..loved his line of “come to bed, iΒ΄ll give you a workout” wished he had told this to Emma instead of the praying mantis! lolz–Snow/Neal, not believing 100% Emma when she says Tamara is EVIL…frustrating because we know she is right!!
–Regina not feeling remorse for killing all the town people …I love Regina, But hate that she cannot admit that some of her actions are wrong and awful…she sees them as a means to an end only…sad
Moderator’s Edit: One small spoiler that is from the next episode. Put spoiler tags around it. Thanks–RG
April 29, 2013 at 9:21 pm #189792thelonebamfParticipantFavorite bit for me, Rumple’s line “Once the deed is done, call upon me.”
Belle is right- he does toy with words. First of all, he never said “Hey whenever you want to change back” he said “when it’s done”- which it never is. Second, “call upon me” could very easily mean (in a bit more formal/antiquated language) “come visit me”. Ahaha. You sneaky sneak, you.
