I’m sorta torn about this; I guess it’s cool that the show isn’t going to keep the finace in the corner as an off screen character (like Zelena would only communicate with him through calls and texts and we never meet him) but at the same time, the show already suffers from over saturation of characters who need story, development, and plot.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"I do find it interesting though to have a totally real life character being a supporting character in the show possibly, during or after finding out the truth about all fairytales and magic, realizing he gonna marry a wicked witch and join into a very mixed fairytale family. In a way unless I’m forgetting, it’s the first time we have a character that’s just a regular human guy in real life with absolute no fairytale, cursed, from a story, or legend, science, magic or Disney connection that isn’t background or one episode guy either and see how that plays in the show
For me, Emma is the regular person. She is related to the fairytale families, but she is still the regular person. I don’t think this is going to be that interesting and this guy doesn’t even know the real murderer, rapist Zelena and he probably never will. This will just be another problematic relationships just like all the relationships on this show.
They keep acting like they are doing all these new and exciting things and they just aren’t. It is the same old nonsense. And they are still failing at their biggest issue which is character development. The characters choices need to drive the plot and they just don’t and that is why this show doesn’t work.

Right. Zelena will eventually tell him “I’ve done bad things in the past, but I’m moving past that now” or something and he’ll accept it because his biggest character trait will simply be “is in love with Kelly/Zelena”

The only male character I can think that fits your description would be Greg/Owen from S2.
This guy is totally evil. He has “the face”.
I sincerely hope not. We need a normal person who encounters fairy tale characters. And they keep promising that Chad is a normal guy.
Like ry4christ points out, Owen was possibly the only one but he found out about it pretty early on in his life and it adversely affected him.

But yeah, I don’t think he will be a straight on villain, but I think he’s going to cause some trouble when he finds out his true love is one of the most iconic villains in American history
