In the wake of Hook resurrecting every Dark One who ever lived, the residents of Storybrooke are facing the very real possibility that some may not survive the midseason finale of Once Upon a Time.
During Sunday’s episode, the newly resurrected Dark Ones will set their sights on snuffing out the light for good. “That’s a whole can of worms that none of us expected even existed,” Ginnifer Goodwin tells EW. “We’ve spent five seasons fighting a Dark One, so finding out that they can all come together — they are an unstoppable force when it comes to fighting the Light Ones.”
There’s just one tiny problem with the Dark Ones’ plan: They need to sacrifice a soul in order to stay in the realm of the living, which means that a number of our favorite heroes, including Snow (Goodwin), Charming (Josh Dallas), Regina (Lana Parrilla) and more are quite literally marked for death. “Once you snuff out the light, all there is is darkness,” Parrilla says. “What does that mean for everyone? All the living souls are in danger, especially because we don’t know what could happen. We all get branded, and we’re all being sent to the Underworld, so what does that mean for our future? It’s a scary fate for them.”

Well that answers that.

He meets up with her and gives her this car and a potion to cross the town line and be unaffected by it. She’s obviously saying, ‘Why are you trying to get rid of me?’ He’s like, ‘I’m not. I just want you to have the life you’ve always wanted. You’ve wanted to see the world, you’ve wanted to experience life, and I want you to do that,’ not telling her that obviously that he and the rest of them are going to die.”
…interesting and VERY spoilery since that’s probably all we’ll see of Belle unless there are shady shenanigans going on with her…
Also why not send Henry with Belle in that case? I mean, yeah, his mothers would not agree to it, but…

…but they also wouldn’t have agreed to them taking Henry back when Ingrid was running around, and clearly Rumple wanted Henry out of town then (with him and Belle)

Do you folks think it is “fictional” like EF or “fictional London” or is it more meta than that? Does it host dead souls from all the realms, even from “ours”(WWM)?
I just hope that coming back from the UW won’t involve another Dark Curse. *twitch*
Also, wow, that is one spoilery statement from RC. But nice to hear that Belle will at least have some screen time.

December 5, 2015 at 7:25 am #313609PriceofMagicParticipantIt makes sense that Rumple would send Belle out of town to protect her. Not only because he loves her, but he’s described her as a “flicker of light amidst an ocean of darkness”. Since the dark ones want to snuff out all the light, Belle could very well be on their hit list especially as the dark ones are apparently present with every dark one so Nimue would be very aware of how Belle nearly destroyed the dark one curse through TLK.
If everyone is going to the underworld, which would explain why people from their past are coming back, that could explain why Emilie hasn’t been present because Belle is out of town. I hope they do catch up with Belle during 5B instead of just saying “she’s off adventuring in the great wide somewhere”.
I do wonder where the story will go after the Dark ones arc because that is such a big threat to overcome, anything that comes after is going to pale in comparison. The dark ones are like “the first” from Buffy.
All magic comes with a price!

I think it’s just another realm.

If we do, it’ll probably be one scene in the 5B finale of her returning to Storybrooke.
This just screams Eddy & Adam hiding Emilie’s pregnancy in my opinion.

I tend to agree, but I think they have one scene of her in 5B, like 512 specifically, of her out in the real world, just to assure the audience that she’s okay for now. She’ll enter the story again once we get to S6.
