After Hook assisted in saving Agrabah, the pirate will continue his quest to get back to Emma during Sunday’s episode of Once Upon a Time.
In a bid to get back to Storybrooke, Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) aims to use Black Beard (Charles Measure), but the duo instead end up in very familiar territory: Neverland! But not everyone will be pleased about his return. “He was Captain Hook working for Peter Pan in Neverland for many, many decades,” executive producer Edward Kitsis tells EW. “Although we killed Pan and freed the Lost Boys, not every Lost Boy decided they wanted to come with; there’s always the true believers. My guess is they don’t have a nice homecoming for him.”

It seemed implied at the end of S3 that all of the lost boys came back to Storybrooke with the Nevengers, didn’t it?

*shrugs?* I could believe that a few of them stayed behind since it’s not like Nevengers took a head count. I think what I’m wondering is what NVL is like without the Shadow; do you still stay young forever? What role did the Shadow have in the magic of NVL? Is it still dark 24/7 (the promo seems to suggest no so why not?)

It’ll also be nice to see more of Neverland with actual sunlight, based on what little we’ve seen from the promo. For Season 3 they had to build a big Neverland set in the studio that took a lot of time and money to put together, but they obviously weren’t going to rebuild that set just for one episode years later. They never did explain the in universe reason for the lack of sunlight in present day Neverland in Season 3, but I figured it had to do with Pan.

I hardly think Felix “decided” to come with. He was dragged away from Neverland against his will.

The Shadow should still be there. It was there before Pan was…de-aged, I don’t see why it would be there when hes dead. The Shadow wasn’t the same as Pan’s actual, personal shadow (they had different eye colors and different builds, one could talk, etc). So Pan’s shadow should be dead along with him. But the Shadow of Neverland should still be…doing whatever its doing. It seemed malicious but didn’t ever actually do anything beyond de-aging Malcom/Pan and allowing all that occurred by Pan’s will. But I guess that’s just another loose thread of this show.

It seems to be grown men attacking Hook and Black Beard, rather than boys in the promo, so I guess you can age in NVL now, but the lost boys shouldn’t have aged that much since Season 3, unless it’s the opposite now and you somehow age faster now?! Color me confused.
