As Once Upon a Time’s heroes and villains return from the Underworld to face Hades in Storybrooke, the final episodes of the fifth season are gearing up to be an emotional rollercoaster.
With that in mind, EW decided it was time to put executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis in The Hot Seat. For our special finale edition, the OUAT bosses have the option of answering your questions with “Yes,” “No,” “Can’t say” or “Next season.” Get the scoop below:

KITSIS: Oooh, good question. Can’t say. The reason we can’t is because we can’t say there’s been a death.The gig is up. Everyone and their dog knows Robin dies.
Any chance to meet Rumple’s mother?
HOROWITZ: We should.
KITSIS: We would like to.
HOROWITZ: It would be next season.That could be interesting. Would be nice to see his mother for real after the Merida casting call lied.
Will we find out Baby Hood’s name soon?
HOROWITZ: Yes.

Will the innocent souls in the river like Aunt Em and Milah ever be released?
KITSIS: I would watch this weekend.The people in the River of Lost Souls can be saved? That would be nice to see. Aunt Em and Milah certainly did not deserve to go there.
Will we get to see what happened to Lily and Maleficent and who Lily’s dad is?
HOROWITZ: Next season. Oh yeah, we’ll have plans. You’ll see, hopefully they’ll be great.
KITSIS: I’ll say this, we hear the fans. We know what stories you feel like we’ve dropped, and we’ve got an episode for you next year.
HOROWITZ: We’ve got some plans to try to address many of those things next season.They also teased about doing so this Season, so I’ll believe it when I see it.

KITSIS: Someday! Maybe right around when we see Lily and Maleficent.I’ll also believe it when I see it. I’m not holding my breath.
Will there be an engagement in the last few episodes of season 5?
KITSIS: Nope.I thought so and knew it. There is no engagement. Just like no wedding.
Will the innocent souls in the river like Aunt Em and Milah ever be released?
KITSIS: I would watch this weekend.Since it seems like it was hinted that souls like Milah and Auntie Em can be saved from the river of lost souls, then what will become of Gaston and James?
Will we see more of Ruby and Dorothy?
KITSIS: Not this season, and that’s based on actor availability and scheduling, not a desire to not show them.
HOROWITZ: We absolutely wanted to see them more this season.
KITSIS: Meghan [Ory] is the lead on a new series, so we were not, unfortunately, able to bring her back this year, but we’d love to see her again next season should the actress make herself available.
HOROWITZ: It was our intention to include them in this end run of episodes, but scheduling got in the way. We hope to be able to include them next season.Here’s hoping Red, Mulan and Dorothy will return next season.

Emma: Fine. Lily wrote to me and said she found her dad. They’re all living as one big family now.

Belle: OMG! You’re actually talking to me without wanting something in return! Will’s fine, he went travelling and found his true love! It still begs the question what he was ever doing with me but he and Anastasia are back together so the fans don’t riot.
Snow: Good. So Emma, have you and Hook picked out wallpaper for your house?
Emma: What are you on about?
Snow: Well every season has got to be about CaptainSwan drama, I just thought I’d make myself somewhat relevant. By the way, Belle, you can go off-screen now since you’ve served your exposition role.
Belle: Okay. Rumple and I will go and enjoy some happy time together before we’re required to be back onscreen and fighting again. Seriously, there’s no reason for him to do half the stuff he’s made to do other than it makes him look like a bad guy in comparison to Hook.
Emma: Hey, don’t go hating on Hook!
Belle: Emma, you didn’t even like him until Neal was dead. You didn’t even choose him. You ended up with him because your choice was taken away.
Emma: Yeah well….Shut up!
Regina: Belle does have a point. Hook didn’t even get a redemption arc. He was suddenly considered a good guy just because he wanted to get in your pants. My redemption arc took me longer than two seconds.
Belle: At least your redemption arc stuck. Rumple’s back and forth like there’s no tomorrow.
Regina: Yeah well Rumple has to look bad to make Hook look good because Hook can’t do that on his own merits. Anyway, you’d best get going before Rumple has to carry out some illogical nefarious plan.
Belle: Bye guys!
Emma: You could’ve supported me Regina!
Regina: Don’t have a go at me! It’s alright for you. You’re boyfriend gets to come back through some hand wavey plot device whilst mine lays cold in the ground and leaves two children fatherless.

The only reason Robin ever met Hades is because we followed you to rescue Hook because you were too selfish to let him go which actually was the entire reason we ended up in the situation in the first place because you were stupid enough to turn him into a DO to begin with. How many times does the guy have to tell you to let him go before you get the hint?
Emma: Yeah, well…. I let him go in the underworld!
Regina: And you couldn’t have done that the first few times he asked you so that we could’ve avoided this entire mess?
Emma: We’re true love!
Regina: Really? Because there’s a lot of signs pointing to the opposite.
Snow: I’m just going to leave you two to sort this out by yourselves.
Emma: You know what, Regina. I don’t have to listen to this!
Regina: That’s it Emma, run along to Hook. Heaven forbid you remember you have a son.
Emma: Don’t bring Henry into this!
Regina: When was the last time you spent time with Henry that didn’t revolve around Hook in some way.
Emma:……….Shut up Regina!

I’m pretty sure it was explained when that thing came out of the water. That was clearly a lost soul and I guess this explains what happens to them when they hit the water and what they become.
