If it happened ten years ago and Henry didn’t get to raise Lucy that is a whole other thing. Does Cinderella have her memories and think that Henry left her?
I want it to be that. There’s a lot of lather, rinse, repeat of S1 going on overall with S7 and a major part of S1 is the mystery of Emma, Neal, and Henry and the whole incredibly human history there. It’s a story they were going with until it got interrupted and I suspect they want to write it, if only for themselves at this point. I suspect there will be shades of Emma/Neal/Henry all over Henry/Cinderella/Lucy (well, more than there already are)
Yeah, i want it to be that. I want Henry and Cinderella to have their memories and for something to have happened between them and the curse, or whatever they are calling this, to have happened ten years ago.

Awwww how sad…..
So does that mean Emma must be dead? If Jennifer Morrison doesn’t return for even one more more episode (as she has made very clear on social media that she won’t), then the last time Emma will be seen is 7×02 in a flashback. Emma used to be such a good character, but I can’t say I’d miss the final version of the character she became. By the end, she was no longer the Emma from early seasons.

It could mean that, but I think it’s more likely that the writers will insert some random exposition about how Emma’s “dealing with the problem” from Stroybrooke (keeping the residents safe, example) because “she’s confident that Henry can handle things” in Seattle. I actually find it hard to believe that A and E would kill off Emma forever.

If Jennifer isn’t coming back then there is no point in keeping Emma as out there. I think it could be interesting if Emma died and to see how Henry would react to that. Maybe if Henry caused this new curse to keep his remaining family safe somehow. I doubt the writers would do that just because they have never killed anyone of consequence except Neal. Though that was for similar reasons where they didn’t want to write for him anymore, now they have no choice, they can’t write for Emma anymore, so i could see them killing her.
Though really, i could just see them saying that Emma is just somewhere else with Snow and Charming and the others and just leaving it at that. It isn’t like what they write is going to make sense.

I agree that there’ll likely be some other explanation. I would think Adam and Eddy would realize that killing off Emma at this point would result in way too much backlash, and they need to keep as many remaining viewers as they can. Sure we’ve seen them kill off Neal and Robin, but Emma was the original main character and almost all parts of the fandom connect with her. And since it was Jennifer Morrison’s decision to not return as a regular, she herself would likely receive a portion of the blame for “allowing it to happen”, unfortunately. It would look bad on both the writers and Jen.

If JMo really has no intention of even filming again on the show (as she has made very clear), then I don’t see how Emma could just be offsceen since everyone will keep asking about her return. Would the writers really just leave Emma petrified in stone all season? I don’t see how the writers would get around this issue of Emma’s absence unless she is dead since Henry and Hook would try and free Emma at all costs. Unless JMO secretly filmed a scene in which she is unpetrified from the rock formation beneath the troll bridge to be shown in a future episode, I don’t see how the writers could get around the biggest elephant in the room of why Henry and Hook aren’t doing everything in their power to get Emma back. The only way to avoid the question of when Emma would be freed from her curse is if Emma has died and gone on to the afterlife because she had no unresolved issues left.

Also, they would then have to pay her for another episode and she said she was just contracted for the one. I think it is that and done.
Emma might just be happily off somewhere else and can’t get to where Henry is at. Or Henry wants to deal with it on his own. Or maybe Regina is our Regina and the other two are not. I think that no matter what happens to Emma, whether cursed or dead or in Storybrooke or another realm, people are always going to be asking because she was the main character and the show can’t really work without her.
July 30, 2017 at 12:50 pm #340757TheWatcherParticipantthe question about Peter Pan was also pretty interesting. U guys think we should expect to see another Boy Who Never Grows Up, or were they just being cheeky by saying we COULD see that but wont.

If we were to get another Peter Pan, I think he should be good this time around, to differentiate him enough from Robbie Kay’s version. I’m not sure they’ll seriously do Peter Pan again, though, since he was such a major character. Based on what they said at Comic Con, it seems the characters that will get new iterations will be ones that we didn’t spend a heck of a lot of time with. The previous Cinderella was only a guest star in a handful of episodes, Lady Tremaine and the stepsisters were really only in 1 episode (not counting that quick shot in “The Price of Gold”), and Alice was only in Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, which Eddy said “no one watched”.

I largely agree with this. It’ll be those random one offs; the only stipulation I could see to that is Snow White and Prince Charming–just for fun they might have Ginny and Josh back to play their characters but different versions.
