The ABC fairy tale drama is undergoing a major reboot heading into its seventh season. To keep track of the new and returning characters, EW turned to executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis to get the scoop.

The Princess and the Frog heroine will take center stage in episode 5 when viewers get to see her origin story, but it doesn’t necessarily follow the film. “We’re not redoing the movie,” Horowitz says. “We’re taking it as a jumping off point. We want to honor the character and make sure we’re true to it, but we have a Once Upon a Time spin.” In Seattle, Tiana’s counterpart Sabine will play a vital role. “Her relationship with Cinderella is like Snow and Red’s,” Kitsis says. “They’re roommates, they’re good friends.”I wonder if Tiana will be a gay, or maybe bi, character in S7. Eddy Kitsis compared Tiana to Ruby, who turned out to be bisexual.

Cinderella/Jacinda:
Jacinda has a family? As in she has Lucy and remembers she’s her daughter in HH? Or a cursed family? Or Cinderella and Henry had more than one kid?
Henry:
Ok, so it seems like Henry will remember all of the events of S1-S6 as the story he made up for his book.
Rumple:
I love EF and S1-S3 Rumple, but this definitely sounds like more back and forth Rumple a la S4-S6. I’m hoping not. Allow his character to have growth that actually sticks, writers.
Hook: I think someone already said this on here, but I bet his unsolved case that haunts him is a missing person or homicide case for his wife.
Misc:
Still no mention of Anastasia. Sigh.
Also, interesting that Drizella and Alice are featured, since neither are billed as a main.

Yeah, I can see it a bit. She looks more like Belle than Baelfire or Gideon looked like either of their parents.

I would. God help these writers if they make an evil character the LGBT rep. The backlash for that decision would add to the backlash they’re already getting.
I honestly think there’s a chance it’s Tiana. A Disney Princess LGBT that they could get right the way they didn’t with Mulan.

I’m actually placing my bets on the new Alice….
I don’t think it’s Tiana because if it was, it’d be a lot easier to pair her up with her best friend from the movie Lottie, and there’s no word on casting call for her yet. Another note being there’s still Naveen, who like Lottie has no casting call, but I don’t think Disney would let A&E break up that “official” pairing.
So I’m definitely thinking Alice, but knowing A&E’s storytelling, I wouldn’t be surprised if it turned out to be Drizella.

Well, Mulan was a lesbian and in love with Aurora in OUAT despite being heterosexual and in love with Shang in the Disney cartoon.
