True but they could have given a dress that was more in line with Emma’s character. I felt the same with the dress she wore in Camelot. It doesn’t feel like Emma.
In all seriousness, I would have preferred something similar to what they both wore in the time travel episode. Both their costumes embodies their personaility. Emma has the beautiful princess gown and tiara but it also has a flair, an edge to it, and Hook looks very dashing pirate. Gosh, I hope they don’t put hook in a normal tux.

Yes, I know that’s sorta untraditional but 1) Emma isn’t a traditional princess and 2) the red has always been her superhero/Savior color.
I think my idea dress would be a mix-match of all the dresses Emma’s worn. So…lemme think. The form fitting and length of the Camelot dress, the no-straps of the Pilot dress, some red of the time travel dress, and some lace overlay of Grace Kelly’s dress.

As ScrewBallNinja wrote, Emma’s dress is a direct knockoff of the Princess of Monaco’s dress. While the dress is pretty, it doesn’t suit Emma. It’s too girly-girl and froo-froo. I always saw Emma getting married in a more modern and edgy wedding dress, but then this isn’t the same Emma as far as I’m concerned. A short-ish modern wedding dress that is form fitting and open in the back is the type of dress I’d have chosen for Emma:"That’s how you know you’ve really got a home. Given Emma’s choice of clothes this season, perhaps letting JMo have a say in the wardrobe is not such a good idea.
I wonder if JMo felt the need to post this because of the negative reaction the dress has got from fans of the show.

(Though, I do really dislike that headpiece thing)
