If they actually focused on Henry they’d have to deal with the fact that they killed off his father (along with just about every other relative besides his mothers and three of his grandparents).
Honestly, I can forgive a low screen time for Henry most of the time because he IS a kid and child actors have restrictions on them. But one of my favorite moments this whole season was when he FINALLY got to have a word with Belle…Henry is the thing that ties this crazy family together and forgetting that makes everything feel like just ships.
One of my biggest complaints about where the show is presently is that they’ve been driving for so much action that they’ve forgotten to have characters interact if they’re not being violent or snogging…tying up Belle’s story arc as they did with The Gauntlet of Plot instead of having her actually interact with Rumple, Hook, Emma, and Anna was SUCH a let down. It meant that we didn’t get to see any of those characters’ develop through relationships and we didn’t get to see any of them using the talents and strengths that the show has imbued them with.
Henry is a natural person to pair with just about everyone on the show for some character development, and they’ve been wasting that potential. Along with a lot of potential. I realize they’ve got serious limits on time, budget, etc, but it hurts to see so clearly how things were set up for one thing and then just abandoned sometimes.

Whilst it is nice to have 11 episodes in a row, there isn’t time for the character moments, it’s all plot and shiny things and new villains. Whereas in season 1 and 2, Storybrooke had that small town feel, now it feels like Storybrooke is solely populated by the Charmillstiltskin clan because we so rarely see the other characters now.
All magic comes with a price!

Marian- Regina – Robin triangle was just a bring the old dead wife cliche dead that most of the tv shows use. It is just dissapointing after season 1 and 2 . And i strongly believe either Regina or Belle or maybe both of them will get pregnant and a big connection of the villains with one of the major characters . First half was just plain boring if you ask me and i now i am not the only one who thinks like that.

I am not sure if the RRM love triangle was all that popular. Certainly, most people who posted on this board (and on another one I used to be part of) seemed to hate it.
I agree that the writers will not learn from their mistakes.
The first half was not only boring but full of more holes than a kitchen sieve.
I agree that another pregnancy is around the corner…perhaps the beginning of season 5 if not the end of 4b.
I am hoping that Regina doesn’t get ruined any further so that I keep watching this show.

In regard to Henry, here’s the thing. 1. Just because he believes in magic doesn’t mean he’s going to have it. In fact it doesn’t really even make sense for him to have it. If he has magic, then what’s to believe in? Henry almost can’t have magic because the show relies on his being a believer. And just because he doesn’t have magic doesn’t mean he’s not a product of true love,etc. They never said a product of true love is GOING to have magic, just that the likelihood of it increases when you are the product of true love.
2. Lets be honest here. Jared is no longer a little boy. The audience isn’t going to look at him and say “awww isn’t he just adorbs?” Jared needs to be able to hold his own against the adult actors – and sorry but he just doesn’t. Lana and Robert especially blow him out of the water. Can’t write if the actor can’t deliever. And in my opinion that’s why he got shoved to the back.
Got no comment on the anti-Hook junk other than what did they say that was so controversial? Hook and Rumple will never forgive and forget -EITHER of them. neither is winning saint of the year awards. They will always fight, they will always be adversaries. Rumple jumped on Hook leaping before he looked in 4a, I’d expect Hook to be po’d and do something to get him back, and the Rumple to do the same. It’s the very nature of their relationship. Everything could be hunky doory and those two would find something to antagonize the other with.
Once again a lot of mudslinging over an interview purposly meant to provoke since in it’s very nature it is supposed to be answered with one word and zero clarification, embellishment or explanation.

People who have magic don’t believe in it? That seems to be the logic equation you’re putting forth.
Henry = believer
Believer = believe in magic
Believers in magic = don’t have magic
Henry = doesn’t have magic.
But that means that the inverse must also be true
Magic wielders = don’t believe in magic.
See, doens’t work. Henry’s belief in magic does not in any way shape or form mean that he could not wield or produce magic any more than people who wield or produce magic cannot believe in it. Henry also has the heart of the truest believer which seems to suggest that there is something “more” to him. Regina also though that she could teach Henry magic in S2. Magic is both a learned and genetic property, but one does not exclude the other. You can be born non magical and learn magic either with a teacher or the aid of a plot device.

Except that they are constantly trying to sell the “changed man” persona with both characters yet with Rumple it is “but he’s not really” and with it’s “he really has changed” but you’re arguing that everything is the status quo–which I agree with–but at the same time they are pushing the idea of a changed character. It’s almost..bipolar, they way they write and sell this character vs the other ones.
