I have a sinking feeling that Emma Swan is actually going to die this time (and stay dead). Yes, I know it doesn’t make a lick of sense given that Emma should have died in the season 6 finale when she sacrificed herself as a savior, but the writers might have been hoping that Jennifer Morrison would change her mind at the last moment.
“We get to find out what has happened with Emma and Hook [Colin O’Donoghue] since our happy ending we showed last year,” executive producer Adam Horowitz tells EW. “We will be getting closure on her story in what we feel is a satisfying way.”
“Getting closure on her story” sounds definitively that this is the end of Emma’s story (i.e. she’s firmly not coming back). Adam is not mincing his words. Unless this is a major fake out (a la Jon Snow on GoT), then I think it’s really the end of the line for her. I don’t think Emma would be resurrected either since Jennifer Morrison firmly let it be known in the summer that she wouldn’t appear as Emma Swan after 7×2. The way JMo spoke on social media really reminded me of the way that MRJ spoke when he came back to film a final scene with Jennifer in the bug for the 100th episode. He said it was a nice “bookend” to Neal’s story (i.e. closure for his fans).
“We’re moving forward past the end of season 6, seeing what happened with Emma and Hook, and how it relates to the events in Hyperion Heights. It’s an emotional curtain call,” said Edward Kitsis.
Eddy said this episode would be an “emotional curtain call.” If that doesn’t say end of the road for Emma and her relationship with Hook, then I don’t know what else does.

Emmas not dying. Either one of two things is happening IMO.
1. Emma is sent home cause he’s pregnant or has a baby and hook and Emma doesn’t want their child to grow up without its parents. So what happens is at the end of 7×02 we get a FF to post curse hook reuniting with Emma and their child and then the rest of the season for hook is about getting to that moment.
2. Somehow what happens is hook and Emma both leave and a clone of hook or the rumors of a wish hook is what is left with Henry. A clone of hook to help him on his journey.

Unless she is lying the way Kit Harrington had to on GoT, then I really don’t think Emma’s story will continue. A&E just said her story won’t continue. I think it’s good to prepare oneself for the strong possibility that she really is gone. When MRJ left the show, it was really sad for his fans, and many of us were in denial about it. It’s good to be prepared, especially since Jennifer has already left the show for good it seems. When MRJ left, we didn’t even know for sure, but with Jennifer, we know with 99% certainity that she won’t return.

Though Emma is gone for good, so dead is the easiest way to do that. It still feels unlikely, but they have killed important characters before.

Now, A&E have shown themselves to be untrustworthy over the years, but if Colin is saying the same thing, I have more of a tendency to believe him and take his words to mean Emma won’t die. I think he genuinely cares about the fans – enough to where he wouldn’t mislead us like that, unless he has no choice but to parrot A&E.
September 5, 2017 at 8:34 pm #341762hjbauParticipantWe really can’t trust Adam and Eddie. They will just straight up lie to keep a secret and to get people to watch. Eddie only cares if they get viewers.
September 5, 2017 at 8:51 pm #341763MichaelBlockedWe can trust Colin and he says Hook and Emma are true love, happy, and together and fans should not worry at all about S7. On top of Adam and Eddt saying what they did Emma’s not dying.
I think the clone oof Hook theory is very sound at this point. Called wish hook created by Henry. We know that our Hook and Emma are happy together, with their child.
September 5, 2017 at 8:58 pm #341764hjbauParticipantI think there is zero chance that anyone is an alternate version.
