Any chance of incorporating the evil witch Morgana Le Fay?
Horowitz: Can’t say.Good enough for me. Rather expecting her to be the additional villain, to be honest, and have been the whole time. Never thought they’d just do Dark Swan. #BlackFairy.
Also, holy, I just had a thought…admittedly, it would have taken far more long-term thought on A&E’s part than I think anyone gives them credit for, so even if it turns out to be the case it’s probably just coincidental, but with folks thinking Morgana might be Rumple’s mother – they never explained why it was that Rumple believed the only way Malcolm/Pan could die was if they both died, right? I don’t believe that whole “undoing” prophecy really implied anything of the sort? Well, Morgana is sometimes the mother of a son who rather famously dies while mortally wounding his father. Just saying.

Basically Rumple is Mordred in that scenario, so yeah it would fit, but you’re right it’s probably something they thought up after the fact. But it would fit.

Perhaps. I had thought it was Jafar/Aladdin since we knew Soccha was joining the cast before we ever saw the S3B finale–and it makes sense if you just have a lamp instead of an urn and Jafar instead of Elsa (given how WL ended). Just do a quick hand wave for some time travel stuff to get Jafar’s lamp into the past and voila! But there were a few Camelot hints in S3 too so…who knows.

Don’t recall exactly when it was (but I wanna say it was about a year ago?) but the guy who plays Lancelot mentioned in an interview that he’d be back. Then I think it was shortly after that that A&E were asked about it and they said he wouldn’t be back soon? I remember thinking at the time that they must have had Lancelot/Camelot plans that had changed, otherwise why would the actor have mentioned it if he hadn’t been contacted about availability to come back.
Though I agree with RG, because I’d also suspected the way they introduced Elsa could have been an altered version of how they’d planned to introduce Jafar for the 4A arc.

That was back during Season 2 actually. My guess is the original plan was to have Camelot be Season 3, before they got the approval to do Neverland. Which makes sense, considering how much of the 2nd half of Season 2 apparently changed once Neverland got cleared.
