Perhaps. However, I recall them specifically saying that what was written for the alternate Season 3 finale ending was “another iconic Disney totem.” That could have just as easily simply been the Sorcerer Hat, but the lamp is still a possibility by all means.
Cruella already had a live action movies, and will be hard to top Glenn Close, or maybe they cast her again. So looks now even more like OUaT is now Disney advertising TV show, losing whatever originality they had in the past. (As much as I enjoy the cast they got for Frozen, and the Snow Queen, Ingrid, particular, it’s rather convenient and boring story telling they make of it.)

Agreed. Another thing I’m hoping for is more character development and screentime from Archie, since Pongo is his dog after all.
Wait a second, The Jungle Book was re-released back in February and we still haven’t seen Shere Khan, I call shenanigans 🙁 Maybe there’s hope for 5B if the live action movie does well next year haha.
Joking aside, I’m actually intrigued and going to give them the benefit of the doubt here because she was great in Dracula and I think this casting is spectacular. Is it a cash grab? Sure, maybe. But I had my doubts about the Frozen 4A cash-in (mainly cause I wasn’t that big a fan of the movie)…and I’m thoroughly enjoying it. As long as Sunday nights continue to entertain me, they can throw in the kitchen sink for all I care.
(But, seriously, if they just anthropomorphized everyone and we didn’t have to look at awful CGI animals for 11 episodes, I think a great arc could be pulled from the Jungle Book)

There are two versions of Jungle Book in production at the moment, one from Disney, one from Warner Bros. Considering Disney already have one reinvention of that story going on, perhaps they didn’t want to let OUAT do their version at the same time.

However, there will still be a Once connection to Disney’s new Jungle Book movie. Giancarlo Esposito is in it. =p
I’m intrigued by the Cruella v Mythical creatures thing. I think she could be a formidable opponent to Rumple if she’s after his skin to wear… I have a feeling she’ll be our creepiest villain yet.
I’m loving the Frozen ark and think it is a vast improvement to the Neverland and Oz arcs, so I’m not even going to bother passing judgement prematurely on any potential 4B plot-points.
However… I might be slightly disappointing if they go yet another half-season without a vampire or two, and I’m still waiting for a decent (read – visible) LGBT character. So, yeah, they really need to get on these points rn imo, especially when there’s a student-made web series currently doing a better job at addressing both of these very essential issues ;P
