That costume looks schizophrenic. Each separate element is fine, (though I’m not a fan of peplums as a general rule) but all mashed up together, it doesn’t really look right? Too bad they used up all the jellyfish tentacles on the Fairy dresses.

Agreed. I dont like it. It feels like the designer couldn’t decide on one focal point so he mashed ALL THE THINGS into the outfit.

If I was actually right about that dalmation in the 411 promo plotting nefarious things because it was Cruella then I am going to seriously laugh.

HOROWITZ: I don’t know if Rumple is ever full evil. Full evil implies a loss of humanity, and I think that as dark as Rumple gets, there’s still humanity in him that is struggling with the evil. That’s something we’re going to explore.
KITSIS: Rumple likes to think that the ends justify the means. He’s willing to do things to get what he wants, but most people won’t. In his mind, that doesn’t make him evil. He’s not cruel. He doesn’t destroy people’s lives for no reason. It’s usually because they owe him.

Well this makes a nice change to their “Rumple is the devil himself” quote.

On a side note, how the hell are they planning to fit 3 villain backstories into one 11 episode arc?

Something tells me it’s going to work a lot like Frozen arc…where our main characters don’t get flashbacks except to interact with the villains.

Also: OMG yay more Aurora. Can we have an Aurora-Belle ep finally? They chatted in the background of 312 and Belle’s besties with both Aurora’s true loves (or whatever they are). I NEED this. I need them on screen together.

They also said that Rumple was the devil himself. So really, they don’t know how they are writing him and the only that matters in the end is what ends up on screen. And on screen…he’s pretty much being written as just evil.

Add in the fact that they also said that happy endings don’t always mean redemption…

Well, right now Rumple clearly believes that his involves infinite power and Belle by his side and SOMETHING else that they haven’t explained yet.

But they’ve also had characters in the show intone that one’s happy ending isn’t always what one expects.

I actuallly like Ursula’s costume and how…schizophrenic it looks xD the crown is the only element I think is a bit much but I also didn’t like Ingird’s costume and it grew on me. Come to think of it, I think I originally didn’t like crown on Regina when she was urusla too at first. But yeah, I like it more than I like Angelina Jo–*cough*… I mean Kristin’s Malefixent costume. But atleast she will have more dresses so thats nice. Cruella better be the queen of fashion on this darn show though. This is Eduardo’s time to really bring out all he creativity he has for this character 😀

They also had Ingrid’s idea of a “happy ending” be her death at her own hands. Rumple seems to think he can have everything, power and love, but we know that isn’t going to go to plan.

I already said this in another thread, but honestly, I never liked Maleficent’s original OUAT costume. To me it just always looked silly and didn’t make the character seem all that threatening. When I look at her new costume, it comes across as much more intimidating to me. Yes it looks closer to the Disney version (especially the Angelina Jolie one), but there are still OUAT touches to the costume to make it its own. Plus, as the interview mentions, Maleficent will still get to go through different costumes the way Regina does.

That is exactly how I felt/feel about OUAT’s version of Maleficent. I was actually really disappointed with how they treated her, since she’s my #1 fave villain, and hope that they redeem themselves by correcting, what I believe to be, the mistakes they made with her in season 1.
