    Don’t know about the rest, but it seems as if Nimue gets Emma as the Dark One, under the Dark One control and she “follows” the plan Nimue sets out: forge the dagger and Excalibur back together and snuff out the light forever; she gets what the general “Darkness” wants. What Nimue doesn’t realize is that Emma is playing a long con.

    Agreed. But I’m still unsure what exactly happens for Emma to turn her full blown DO (at least in demeanor), and why the sword/dagger (swagger?) has to be reforged in SB. Isn’t Camelot a perfectly adequate location for that to happen? There’s a nice forge there — seems like as good a place as any. (I know what you’re going to say. It starts with a P, right?)

    Okay I am popping back into this thread because I have a theory. I am back on the “I dont think it was the Dark Curse” wagon.

    A&E claim that Emma crushed a heart to get back to Storybrooke. Maybe she figuratively “crushed” Hook’s heart by turning him into the thing he HATES most. We know this action did turn Emma dark. Dark enough to use Merlin’s wand even! Last time we saw the wand Emma had it and was asking Zelena if she could use it again, but I think that was all a ploy to get her to eat baby growing onion rings. Why does Emma have the wand then? The time we saw it before then Regina had it and I don’t recall her giving it to Emma. So maybe Emma uses the wand to get everyone back since we know it can create portals and Emma just uses other Dark magic to steal the memories.

    Thoughts?
