My question is why are they telling us a such a specific date? Are we actually going to see our land during this episode? Like maybe Hook briefly came here during that time? I mean… What does it matter when this happened? Unless they are just giving us some information…idk. Its weird.
Honestly I think it’s because so many episodes have started with “a long time ago” and people have been harsh about that–criticizing that A and E are ignoring their own timeline with vague generalities

Lke seriously underestimating our abilities to remember things established in the show.

I think they are going to say that Goddess-Ursula is not this ex-mermaid Ursula.

I agree, and I think this tweet from Adam implies something along those lines:
@evilregal00 great question! perhaps not all is what it seems…

If this is the case, I do think the two Ursula’s will be related, since they went through the effort of making Poseidon her father. However, Goddess-Ursula will turn out to be Ursula’s ancestor. I do still think the Ursula who talked to Regina in “Ariel” was the current Ursula, though.
March 20, 2015 at 11:38 pm #299335PheeParticipantI’m starting to think that the two Ursulas won’t be related at all, it’s just that Poseidon thought it’d be fun to name his kid after a mythical goddess.
March 20, 2015 at 11:38 pm #299336RumplesGirlKeymasterI’m posting this here after I wrote it in chat
1819 makes no sense. Big Ben was officially built/opened in 1859. Bae flew over Big Ben. Hook is working for Pan in this episode (script tease) which we’re pretty sure he did not do until after the events of 222. Which means that this has to be past 1819.
Also, I’m sorry 1819 still doesn’t make a lot of sense.
From what I said in chat
but how exactly do the characters know it’s 1819that year is based on our solar calender. here in this realm. the year 1819 means nothing to the EF. is it going to say on screen, “the enchanted forest, 1819”i mean our calender is based on an arbitary point that some people decided was the year zero and we’ve moved from there.and THAT date was set because of a phenomenon (birth of Jesus) that only happened HERE. So 1819 isn’t even a concept for the EF because year 0 is not a concept unless Jesus came from the EF..
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"March 20, 2015 at 11:50 pm #299337KebParticipantHere’s the thing: Bae was in London for SIX MONTHS, plus another 3 weeksish with the Darlings.
Rumple killed Milah AFTER Bae left.
Hook didn’t become Hook and didn’t go to Neverland until AFTER that (but enough before that he beat Bae to Neverland).
And Big Ben was there when Bae landed.
Since the date isn’t actually quoted, if there’s not more evidence (or possibly reasons why Hook would be around in 1819–maybe he’s Baby Killian?), I may wind up disregarding this date. What’s actually IN THE SHOW is my canon, with whatever A&E directly say supplementing, and further evidence coming after that (historical stuff like when Big Ben was built, stuff actors/writers say, stuff that makes sense in fan theorizing and doesn’t contradict the rest). At least for what I’m doing.

? No. He has his hook hand and is working for Pan. Clearly post-Milah and 99.9% post Bae
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"March 21, 2015 at 12:00 am #299340KebParticipantI presently have Bae going to London in 1861. (This puts Rumple at about 50 when he becomes the Dark One, and sets his age at 200 when Emma arrives in Storybrooke. Back when we first went to Neverland, I redid the math to lop 100 years off to account for Big Ben, that’s why it’s not 300.)
IF 1819 is the year Killian was born, and we get to see adorable baby Killian and his big brother (d’aw), and the rest of the flashbacks are after 1862ish, then…maaaaaaaaybe. That would make Killian around 40 when he first goes to Neverland.

But…that’s not what this is. The article is saying that the flashback takes places in 1819, in which we have Captain Hook (with his hook hand) and teenage Ursula. They’ve also said we aren’t getting Young Hook this year. I have no idea where you’re getting this idea from.
