How will Hook react to the Black Fairy on Once Upon a Time? — Kendall

Well, that depends on whether Hook makes it back to Storybrooke (shhh, he totally makes it back to Storybrooke). “She is essentially the ultimate evil,” Colin O’Donoghue says. “She’s as bad as it gets, as bad as we’ve seen on Once Upon a Time. Hook is slightly unaware of some of that because he’s been gone. What Hook is most worried about is the Final Battle and what’s going to happen with Emma, because as is, she foresaw her death. That’s the woman that he loves, and we’re very close to that [happening], so it’s more about trying to figure out how he can get back to help her to try and figure out a way of stopping it.”

Here’s a BONUS SCOOP about Sunday’s episode from Ginnifer Goodwin: “The backstory that we learn in that episode is also fairly heartbreaking and focuses a lot on the sacrifices that we make for the family as we discover that the Charmings may have had an opportunity to reunite with Emma long before they did.”

So no time travel, but a flashback where Snow and Charming realm traveled and saw Emma as a kid, but didn’t rescue her because of her destiny? And maybe then took a memory erasing potion? Or this is another secret they’ve kept? This seems like it could set up unnecessary conflict between them and Emma at this point.

How is that possible to be a flashback? Charming was in a coma for 29 years until Emma came to town. That makes no sense at all. Maybe that isn’t exactly what they mean.

    I don’t…understand.

I thought maybe based on that sneak peek that it wouldn’t be a real flashback, but a dream sequence of a “what if” situation between both Snow and Charming. Whatever decision they make in the dream sequence could break the Evil Queen’s failsafe. I’m still hoping for that, but fearing we’ll end up with a big retcon.

I’ve no idea what’s going on in 6×17, but from the sounds of it, this’ll be another reason to add to why Emma is actually vindicated in resenting her parents.  If Emma ever finds out her parents had a chance to find her before she found them, what would it do to her relationship with her parents?

That’s what I thought it was too–a dream “what if” type of scenario (sort of just like what Scandal did for its 100th). But this sounds like they are actual sacrifices made by actual Charming family and not a “what if Emma never went through the wardrobe.”

    Please don’t retcon s1…

I don’t think it is a what if Emma never went through the wardrobe. Emma seems to be like eight. We will see. I don’t get what they are doing here really either. I thought it was just part of the dream too. I still think that until we see otherwise, i guess.

I have a bad feeling it very well may be one. I recall A@E saying in an interview from last month maybe we’d be getting at least one more Snowing “flashback.” Granted they say a lot of things in interviews that we never actually end up seeing.
