I want Granny to keep living, I want her to be apart of whatever the final battle is and I want her and her bow to be keeping some dark evil booty whatever it is. She and red were members of Snowing’s round table. I think all of them are safe until the end.
Wasn’t it nickyhelp who was adamantly saying Robin wan’t going to die? Just saying. Everybody is wrong sometimes.
When it comes to permanently killing off actual series regulars, there’s been very long gaps between them. Graham’s death was in Season 1, Neal’s death was in Season 3, and Robin’s death was in Season 5. So far that makes only one permanent-death of a regular every other Season. Considering they’re still dealing with the backlash from Robin’s death, I doubt the writers are in any hurry to risk killing off any more fan favorites anytime soon.
All of this. I don’t think we are going to have main characters just dropping like flies one after the other.

I don’t want Granny to die either or Sneezy. Maybe they should kill off Grumpy? Although saying that, that would be another one of Belle’s friends that she doesn’t get to socialise with. Poor girl.

I think a death for a main character is unlikely unless an actor/actress want off the show by the end of the season. At the very least, I doubt a main would be killed at the hands of EQ. Graham excepted, EQ’s MO is to kill random peasants. Wasn’t the whole premise of the original curse to concoct a fate worse than death for Snow White and gang, or something to that effect?

I clicked on it only to find a certain somebody who is no longer active had posted there too. I clicked on their name out of curiosity and it turns out that particular forum had exactly the same issues as this forum had and were considering taking exactly the same action…….so small world I guess.
Back on topic, I’m wondering if Cinderella might be the one killed off. We’re suddenly getting a centric on her despite not seeing her since 4B and the last main focus on her was in season 1, she’s recognisable enough that her death would have some impact, she’s friends with Snow, etc. A&E seem to have a thing for killing off parents on this show, so could this be the time that instead of killing a father they kill a mother?

Eh. I sorta doubt it. Killing one of the (if not THE) most iconic princess? I’m not so sure they’ll go there.
And, generally, I don’t think anyone is actually going to die. I think the EQ is gonna cause some havoc but will be rejoin Regina before any death.

This just reminds me of this lol

August 14, 2016 at 9:20 am #326570RumplesGirlKeymasterThe only major character I think does not fall under the 100%-no-way-they-will-die category is Rumple and that depends on a few factors, the biggest being if there’s a S7 or not.
If there’s a S7, I think Rumple is more likely than others die (sacrificing his life for Belle/new kid)
If there’s NOT a S7, then I think Rumple is far more likely to live, having given up all the darkness once and for all.

Random thought this morning: we’ve often talked about how Rumple in the early seasons was modeled on a trickster figure. By definition, a trickster is a character with a lot of knowledge (or high intellect) who uses it to bend social and cosmic rules. But I don’t think that a trickster has a redemptive arc — that’s just not his/her narrative function. He (or she) sometimes prevails, and sometimes fails, but never stops being a trickster.
Anyway, what happened to Rumple over the seasons is very similar to how Marvel reinterpreted Loki (another trickster), by making him a villainous antagonist to Thor. But redefining the crossing of social boundaries/flaunting of norms as evil (or, worse, Evil) is a really problematic oversimplification, in my opinion. After all, one of the trickster’s roles is to challenge the status quo by exposing its injustices and absurdities. I think it’s especially a pity in OUAT’s narrative because without a trickster to hold up a mirror to them, our heroes have become, for the most part, such loathsome and unsympathetic human beings that one is really tempted to, as the kids say nowadays, send them to check their privilege 😉
Anyway, I suspect that Rumple will end up poorly, however the season renewal gets sliced, because if trickery is irredeemably evil, and a trickster can’t change his stripes, then this is going to be another retribution narrative. *sigh* Either way, I still mourn the loss of a really interesting character.
