If I had to guess I’d say that Henry wants to write his mom a perfect wedding and it causes everyone to sing. They tend to underplay Henry in general so I can’t see them suddenly giving him something extra meaty.
Henry had a BIG part to play in both the S4 finale and the S5 finale. He had to (a) take up the mantle of the author in s4 and course correct the AU and (b) he had to believe and make a wish on a penny to bring back magic in S5. Henry being the author and having the heart of the truest believer were both highlighted in previous season finales, so I think his special traits will be highlighted in the season 6 finale, especially given the casting call for a potentially older Henry. Also, Henry being the driving force of the season 6 finale, as he was in the pilot, makes a lot more sense to me.

If the show continues without Emma, i wonder what will become of Henry. I still think an older Henry is crazy, but that doesn’t mean they might not do it.

As the years have gone on, Emma’s story has become more divorced from Henry in general. I suspect that if Emma does leave but the show goes on, Henry’s story will really become solely focused on Regina. Unless, like Slurpeez suggests, the casting is for an adult Henry (which I also suspect) and it’s about saving Emma
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"I do think it is much more likely that there is an adult Henry now that we know Jennifer is probably leaving for sure. I just think it makes no sense at all that either Emma or Regina would be willing to leave Henry behind. That is a terrible ending considering the story began with Henry finding Emma. What a mess this show has become. This is why they can’t just switch out Emma’s love interests. The show doesn’t make sense like it is now.

They definetly missed that opportunity by not having Henry be truly tempted by the Evil Queen to join the dark side. He could’ve played double agent at least, secretly being the peace maker between Regina & EQ, and eventually being the one to ultimately convince them to be put back together because he loves them both. (Sigh) But this is OUAT, and on OUAT, one cannot have nice things!

I think this has more to do with the season six finale than the musical episode. Perhaps Henry uses his pen to write Emma a different ending, one in which she never became the savior, in an effort to keep her from dying. But it backfires, in a major way with unintended consequences since “magic always comes with a price”. We already know that there is a casting call for a young man who sounds a lot like adult Henry. Likely, he’d be the star of S7 (assuming OUAT gets renewed), which would feature Henry and his daughter trying to right whatever wrong happened at the end of season six.
Okay, I love this idea and if there really is a reboot, I’d love for this to come true! Only thing I’d be wondering is, who’s Henry’s baby mama?

If the show continues without Emma, i wonder what will become of Henry.There are some spoilers from fans online, appears from crew members, that say that jared may not return on the case of a S7. I don`t believe they kill him.

What spoilers? There is the casting call, but that is just speculation. I could see a lot of people leaving if Jennifer does. It is crazy that they are potentially losing their three biggest names with Jennifer, Ginny, and Robert.

And i´m starting to think, they may lose the majority of the cast if they get a S7.
