    The timeslot was the biggest issue, I think–I was getting a little burnout from so much Once every week, and then nothing during the hiatus when I would have craved it.

    I think that losing their hatter also hurt the concept somewhat. Wonderland shone its brightest when Cora took over for a bit–having just a bit more overlap with the things that make Once its best (and I admit the creators don’t always seem to know what that is) would have helped.

    The timeslot was definitely the problem.  Thursday at 8PM is the most competitive timeslot on television, from what I understand; it’s not a good idea to put a freshman show there.  Obviously, they learned from this, given what they’re doing with Agent Carter.  Speaking of which, losing the Hatter obviously couldn’t be helped, since Stan was busy with Captain America: the Winter Soldier, much of the production being in Cleveland, which is on the other side of the continent from Vancouver.  As for Cora, I think they were saving more of her for season 2, but that sadly never happened.
