I noticed that too- I thought it was just me. Pretty much the only reason I stayed on this site was because of sneak peek links and stuff.I try not to bring up Hook but it gets hard sometimes.
I think something definately needs to be done about this, because if people are feeling scared and intimidated then thats saying something.

Not sure where you get the idea that you’re the only Hook fan here. There are plenty, myself included. Just because someone doesn’t ship CaptainSwan, that doesn’t mean they don’t like Hook.

If you’re referring to people complaining about all the talk about him, if it were all kept to one or two threads, I really don’t think people would complain about it at all. It’s the multiple threads all on the similar topic to do with one character that people take issue with, not the character himself. When you view the board by Active Topics, it’s tedious if half of them are all about the same thing/character, especially if it’s not a topic you’re interested in.

If you’re referring to people saying they don’t like the character, people are perfectly entitled to their opinion, and not everyone has to like him, just as you don’t have to like every other character.

I talk about Captain Hook all the time, because he’s my favorite character. I would talk about Neal or other stuff, but a lot of times other stuff just doesn’t interest me. I’ll talk about it if it does, but for now if I want to talk about Captain Hook, then I don’t want to feel like I’m being intimidated when it’s all I really get excited about. I know there are others who will talk about him too, but can we really feel free to do that if others are going to complain because somebody they don’t like is being talked about too much? I could make that same complaint about Baelfire/Neal or Belle and Rumpelstiltskin. Honestly, I wish we had a special board for each character. You know where you have the spoiler pages for each episode? I wish we had a special place to go here, if we wanted to talk about Captain Hook. That way, I could go there are talk about what I like to talk about, and somebody else who wants to talk about Neal, Bae, or somebody else can go to their area. I am not saying that conversation here should be controlled, this place just isn’t as much fun as it was when I first joined. I think it’d help if everybody were just given more respect. That can’t happen, if people feel like they’re being attacked. Attacking CS shippers is an example of that.

I like that idea. That would stop all of the arguments for sure and it would take away all of the tension. Because we do have the Captain Hook topic but there is still hate and stuff on there. And it might even help the admins to moniter the comments and make sure there are no arguments.

Thanks. I think everybody would like that, if it were done. It’d help keep things organized, and would help keep the peace. As for the hatred, maybe the moderator can have a policy in place for those who just go to other boards and attack characters, or their fans., Is that what is called trolling? If so, a policy to prevent that would help keep the peace, and this could be a fun place to be at again.

Also I forgot to mention- for the Captain Swan tag on Tumblr, you have to make an account to see it properly otherwise its too hard to read, it comes up in squares or something.

“…attack us…” – Seems you’re taking things a bit too personal. I saw ppl express their opinion about a character on a tv show…that’s not attacking anyone,

“…too scared to bring him up” – There are an extreme amount of threads devoted to Hook/Hook related topics on this board.

Phee said it perfectly and I agree with her.

Even if a topic doesn’t have much, if anything at all, to do with Hook, he’s mentioned. It’s getting harder and harder to avoid (which I used to do but gave up because it became futile).
No, I’m not a Hook fan. I don’t like him. I just don’t. And that should be ok.
