I’m trying to improve some readability and usability aspects of ONCEpodcast.com. The immediate change you may notice is the solid white background to help the text contrast better. Do you like this, or is it now too strong?
Personally, I prefer the old background, but if everyone else likes this better, that’s fine. 🙂
A bit too strong for me, had to dim my mac. But if other members were having a hard time reading the old background, then I’m with Lisa. It was a quick fix to adjust on my end. For the good of the majority and all… 😀
Yeah, this doesn’t help me at all. It’s so bright that it’s harder for me to read stuff on it.
Harder for me to look at the forum in general. Gonna need sunglasses for when I come here after midnight. :geek:
I liked the darker background better. Try some parchment colour, Daniel! Book pages are also not white, they are a bit yellowish. That’s more comfortable.
I actually prefer the old color. 😉 White is too jarring to the eyes.
I prefer the old colour too. The white is too strong.
All magic comes with a price!
Keeper of FelixThanks for constantly working to make the website the best it can be, Daniel.
Ha ha! Looks like the vote is unanimous. I’ll change the color back.
The transparent background (or gray, if you’re on an old-fashioned browser) is back.
I discovered our official ONCE font is available on TypeKit, so I switched from Google Web Fonts to TypeKit. I just have to monitor my bandwidth usage with them. 😛
UPDATE: Heh. I say that, and then I start not liking our ONCE podcast font for use anywhere except in the logo. I’m switching to a similar font.
