That don’t have to wear pink of course, but that baby looked more like a boy. So either we’ve got a gender confusion or we’ve got an age confusion OR we’ve got a new baby altogether that just happens to have the male version of their previous child’s name.
Key word “looked.” If they did actually use a male baby, I’m chalking this up as a casting screw-up, not a writing screw-up. Nothing about the actual script hinted at the baby being a boy. Maybe the casting department saw the name “Alex” in the script, and assumed it was short for “Alexander” instead of Alexandra, despite the baby appearing on the show before.
And A and E didn’t see this in editing?? “Oh no! Wrong baby!!” Decided not to try and insert something or reshoot? We know they do such things: Meghan Ory shot her scenes in 3B later than what they filmed.
Look, I get the need to defend the show and the writers at every turn but the fact is there is some sort of confusion/error/screw up here. Either Ashley had another baby and they didn’t bother to tell us in script (bad writing that confused the audience) or there was a slightly casting confusion (baby boy instead of girl) or there was an age confusion (wrong aged baby).
It boils down to : error. So I am allowed to point that out without the over rationalization of “nope. nothing wrong here!” The fact is that many people were confused by that moment and are questioning it.

How old is Cinderella’s baby meant to be exactly.
We know Skin Deep takes place in February 2012
The Pilot takes place October 2011
There was a two week time jump between Graham’s episode and Desperate souls (107 & 108)
There was a one year jump between 3A and 3B
3A was about a week.
4A is supposedly early 2013 before the Frozen stuff happened hence why nobody knows Elsa.
Cinderella’s baby was born in Price of Gold (104)All magic comes with a price!

I don’t think I’ve ever NOTP’d a ship on this show as much as this one. And that includes the crack ones and Cora & Rumple. Tonight just dug the hole deeper…and for a moment, one shining moment, I thought Regina was going to rise above it. But Robin didn’t let her.
I know. She was so close. I haven’t been proud of Regina in so long. I felt so proud when she said “next time”. It felt good and healthy. Regina of all people said, “This won’t work out, but my heart will open again one day.” I liked hearing that from her. Then, here comes Robin… :/

November 11, 2014 at 7:24 am #289766PriceofMagicParticipant@WR, That’s a nice quote from Johnny Depp. However, I don’t think it quite applies to the OQ triangle. Marian was dead, Robin moved on, then Marian came back. The question is would Robin have even looked at Regina if Marian had not died? If Robin had fallen in love with Regina whilst Marian was living then that quote would be more applicable. Also the fact that Regina killed Marian originally complicates things. I honestly don’t know why the writers chose to go that route as it only makes OQ more unhealthy rather than endearing.
Lets put this situation into more neutral ground: CS and Milah. Say hypothetically Emma was somehow involved with Milah’s death. Hook moved on with Emma, unbeknownst that Emma was responsible for Milah’s death and unbeknownst to Emma that she was hooking up with the man whose partner she had killed. Milah rocks back up and isn’t happy that Hook is dating her murderer. Hook has to choose between the woman he has mourned for centuries or the woman responsible for her death. Who does he chose, and if his first choice doesn’t work out for him, should he then be accepted by the other despite them being his second choice?

The Duke of Weaselton/Wesselton made me laugh. The explanation of Ingrid/Helga/Gerta…. the story was pretty “eh” but it makes the whole shindig of this season make sense. Ingrid went deep into paranoia while in her prison jar, not unreasonable, and blamed Gerda for locking her up – conveniently forgetting that she made her sisters make the deal with Rumple so that they had the jar for the failsafe FOR THIS VERY SCENARIO.
Was Gerta (Gerta? Gerda? I’ve just realised I’ve used two spellings and haven’t a clue which is right) Anyway – was Gerta’s choice the right one? Maybe not, but was it actually Gerta’s choice?
It may well be the pot-stirring lawyer in me, but I’d argue that was Ingrid’s choice. She was carrying around the magic jar with her, as well as the gloves. She made it clear when the sisters were at Rumple’s castle that they needed this fail safe in case she did anything that jeopardised their family or another’s life. The incident with Helga was an accident, yes – but it also satisfied all the criteria for her earlier consent to be imprisoned in the magic jar. Gerta just kept her end of the deal.
I love the Mummy’s Club, and especially had to laugh at Aurora’s outrage about the “demonic box” – what on earth did she turn on by accident one day? Game of Thrones?! The look of fear and stepping back with Neal etc that Snow was doing…. COULD YOU SET YOURSELF UP ANYMORE SNOW?? Damn it, the Snow Queen didn’t have to do much to play with Emma’s mind. The fertile ground had already been laid.
I didn’t hate the Outlaw Queen moment. I think following his heart and not his wedding ring is actually entirely in keeping with Robin’s truth, justice and the Sherwood Forest way persona – he’s doing what he believes is right, not what society says is the law (stealing from the rich… hello? Not legal. Not encouraged. Morally right if he gives to the poor? Maybe. But still theft!) Given that he’s been a widower for all intents and purposes (and realities, until Emma intervened while time travelling!), you could make a convincing argument that he is no longer married too…. so the “oh noes adultery is BAAAAAD” stuff? Yeah, I don’t care. At all.
Henry in his little suit…. squee! Rumple and his magic potion – double squee.
Rumple’s apparently planning to take over the Land Without Magic? Sorry love, I just don’t buy it. He didn’t seem overly enamoured of the world outside of Storybrooke when they went to find Neal. Why would he want to pull a Dr Evil now?
November 11, 2014 at 8:26 am #289775RumplesGirlKeymasterGeneral response to something:
So, I agree that from a legal standpoint Robin is a widower and may not “technically” be married to Marian anymore. Here’s the rub, though: he has called her “my wife” many times now. He considers himself married. So in the eyes of the law, it might not be adultery. But in his eyes and heart, he and Marian are still wed, still man and wife, and that might make it worse.

See, I think Robin Hood is still technically married since his wife never died, thanks to the interference in the original timeline. I’ve seen it argued that Marian and Robin’s vows were made “until death do us part” and that they ended when Marian died. However, Marian traveling forward in time is an amazing circumstance, since Emma’s interference means Marian never actually died. The marriage vows that she and Robin made are still in effect because death never actually parted them. When Emma and Hook traveled to the past, they created an alternate timeline in which Robin was never widowed.

November 11, 2014 at 10:58 am #289784KebParticipantIt basically created a situation where Marian was missing & presumed dead for the intervening 4-5 years that Robin lived, and then returned alive and well (and remarkably youthful!).

November 11, 2014 at 2:00 pm #289802WickedRegalParticipantIn the Enchanted Forest…they were married. She did go missing, did die in the original timeline, but was saved by Emma. Check….Zoom forward to the curse which brought everyone to our world. Marriages….are they considered married in this land or not? Personally….to me….nope.
We really need an episode of Snow and Charming renewing their vows in our world because I don’t know if they’re married or not. In the original curse, by court of law, he was Abigail’s husband. That curse was reversed, so is he still married to Abigail or did the new curse make him married to Snow???? I definitely know that Robin isn’t married to Marian anymore in this world….so I can’t consider her as his wife in this land. But then again…this is a Fairy Tale Series so I don’t know what’s happening anymore besides Fate happily aligning itself for OutlawQueen/Hood-Mills Family….
