.April 12, 2015 at 9:13 pm #301257RumplesGirlKeymasterTo be 100% honest: I really did not like this episode at all. I thought it was one of the most confusing, disjointed, pointless episodes in the show’s history. It was all about BIG SHOCK and REVEALS but there was very little heart and the heart that was there felt uncomfortable because of elephants in the room (mostly named Neal) and lot of super silly convenient plot devices and unnecessary moment.
I honestly kept asking people every few minutes: “what is going on? I’m so confused…”
LIKED
–Very little, obviously. But I really liked Rumple’s conversation with Robin outside the hospital about Nealfire and why he can’t take Neal’s things. BUT…BUT BUT BUT…send those things to HENRY. Maybe your Grandson would like to have them?!?!?!
–Bex’s acting was pretty great in that “I really wish this character were truly dead” way.
–I did like the connection back to Lacey about how the arrow that never misses its target
DISLIKED
–Pretty much everything. Robin talks a good game but he goes back and forth and back and forth and back and forth. Him and S3B Emma should get together.
–So many questions about how people are getting to Oz!! And leaving Oz!!
–Zelena being alive at all. It’s cheap. It’s a way to have their cake and eat it too. They wanted OQ drama in S4A but none of the nasty moral repercussions.
–Marian and Robin camping out in Neal’s apartment. So disrespectful. This is how Neal gets brought up now? Just so people can chill in his apartment? With the very visiable SF dreamcatcher? OKAY
–This show does not need another bloody villain!
–A lot of the music in this episode was rather obnoxious which was a first for Isham.
–6 leaf magic clover. Are you kidding me? So how did Belle recognize Sean if she only saw Tom?! See. They just created another problem!
–When in the world did this episode take place. I get it was Pre-Lacey but…
–Another POC bites the dust! *fantastic* #Sarcasm
–What is the POINT of Will Scarlett on this show?! Seriously. WHAT IS THE POINT. (yes, I know…likely for S5 and they wanted to keep Socha but come on!!) He has done ZIP all season and did next to zip this episode!
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"April 12, 2015 at 9:33 pm #301275WickedRegalParticipantI…I liked this episode!
I really don’t have any dislikes…so…I guess I just liked all of it!
LANA PARRILLA & REBECCA MADER’S ACTING WAS EVERYTHING THIS EPISODE! Especially that scene where Regina and Zelena were talking onto the phone.
Robin Hood’s backstory….well…not really backstory. It could have been better. I was expecting you know…his dark side backstory, not the one where Marian had already calmed him down.
I truly believe they had all of this planned out way before Season 4, Adam and Eddy said they changed their minds about Zelena’s death a week later….or so they say. 😛
WooHoo And I Was Right Again!!! Zelena traveled back in time!!! As for killing Marian….hmm….you know what would have been more interesting that’s about to shock a lot of people because I’m coming up with a way for Marian to live….for Zelena to have turned Marian into the Swan Princess and kept her locked away instead. Then she could have fell in love with the Sherriff of Nottingham, and been with him, but still give OutlawQueen her blessing.
What I’m looking forward to most….OutlawQueen reunion and Regina whooping Zelena’s (beep) Brooklyn Side of Enchanted Forest style….then maybe a nice sisterly moment.
OUTLAWQUEEN SHALL RISE, AND WICKEDSISTERS LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!

Wait. THAT’S why they had him take that!? To explain a recasting!? They’ll explain that, but not what happened to Anastasia!?
April 12, 2015 at 11:35 pm #301294schaendlichParticipantThis episode. I’m DONE with OUAT, I believe. Yep, I think it’s over. There are no likes. I will not give it to them.
DISLIKES
—- To carelessly toss Marian aside, it just seemed like…I’m sorry…but it seemed like they realized their PoC had lived too long, and just needed to rectify that. As an African American, I can’t stand it anymore. I see this as OUAT telling me that people who look remotely like me are an issue. They must exist only for a short period of time, be a villain, be an obstacle, be subservient, die by white-main-character, or (as is now the case for the SECOND time) already be dead before we even “have to deal with them”. Or a combination of the previous options! I told myself that if they killed Marian to get her out of the way of OQ, I’d quit this show. I really want to like it, but I feel so so insulted, and alone when I watch this. I may just stop watching. I’m not giving my view count to this show, and as much as it hurts to hate something I loved, I won’t care if it’s cancelled. I’m tired of seeing this in media, especially media that I like.
So, to have them tell me for the umpteenth time that I am nothing but an obstacle for white characters to remove or overcome, I guess I finally get the message. On another note, I really don’t judge anyone who sticks with the show. It’s just something I can’t continue to do without personally feeling awful. Sorry, for the rant. Just a bit upset about the entirety of planet Earth, right now…
—- Rumpel’s Enchanted High Cholesterol is just silly to me.
—- Zelena exists at all. There is no purpose to her.
—- Will. What are you even? Do you need to exist? I’m not thinking so.
April 12, 2015 at 11:37 pm #301295KebParticipantNot my favorite episode (even recently).
Liked:
–Oz. The costuming, the door knocking out the guard, being back in the Wizard’s palace. Awesomeness. And I really like (and love to hate) our Wicked Witch. She was downright cruel in this episode. It was beautifully played.
–Timeline clues: Though they were scant for the FTL flashbacks, there were some, and they put up 9 weeks ago at the start of the NYC flashbacks. Me likey.
–Henry helping to search for the author. It was just a moment, but he was included at least.
–Rumple’s dealmaking–and having it turned against him the way it was this episode. But I loved how he persuaded the author to come with him with the pen. Temptation of power–something he understands.
–A bit of clarity on questions like, why didn’t Rumple take over Neal’s apartment at once? and When did Marian become Zelena (which wasn’t relevant till now but I’d been seriously wondering based on spoilers).
Disliked:
–No Belle. At all. Not even a shout out.
–Somehow in trying to make Robin less of a git for cheating on his wife and then leaving Regina for her anyway…they managed to make OQ even squickier for me. Something about the way Zelena pointed out how she’s been acting as her sister’s lover’s wife…ew. No thank you.
–Will is the least relevant “regular” since they forgot about Red in the second half of S2. He finally gets an ep with a flashback and literally the only thing we learn about him in it is that he once was in Oz and his sister drowned–the latter of which anyone who watched Wonderland already knew. And considering what they’ve done with Belle, it’s really spectacular to see them IGNORE and waste a regular so much.

April 13, 2015 at 1:19 am #301301SweetsParticipantLOL. Sean tried to warn us….
Likes:
– Roland Hood!
– The acting in this episode was really well done! Marian as Zelena was exceptional. The little facial quirks, the tone of her voice. Zelena was just as batty as always. (LOVED)
– Emma calling her parents out on their lame attempts to justify their deplorable actions. Huzzah.
– Surprisingly, the Sheriff of Nottingham. He seems like a true villain.
– Robin Hood attempting to save Rumples life and giving him Neal’s things. I thought that was a class act and a great foil to Zelena’s whole pot of cray. I do wish they would have brought up the whole…ya know… torture thing.
– All the scenes with Rumple and Regina. That last moment was…. incredible. Lana knocked it out the park.
– I’m of the mind that Robin KNOWS Marian isn’t Marian, so the scene with him brooding in the shower and the “I love you” scene were really well done. Zelena is so narcissistic and delusional she would never question his complete 180 on his feelings.
– Loved that Robin used his thieving skills to give Will the elixer.
– I love that Once continues to surprise me even though I read spoilers.
– Disliked:
– The direction. The pacing was off. The weird replay of the scene at the town line seemed unnecessary.
– I want to say Rumple, but I have faith in his superior mind.
– The death of Marian. Seriously? Seriously? SERIOUSLY? That was soooo weak and callus and ugh.
April 13, 2015 at 2:00 am #301306onceaholicParticipantI like this episode because this…
–6 leaf magic clover. Are you kidding me? So how did Belle recognize Sean if she only saw Tom?! See. They just created another problem!
….was the only plot hole (the other episodes had numerous),
and we got to see more RH and more of Zelena. Both LP and Rebecca Mader’s acting was superb.
9/10.

April 13, 2015 at 2:03 am #301307SlurpeezParticipantThis episode was probably my least fave of all of s4 — and that’s saying something since S4 is my least favorite of all. This episode just made me really miss Baelfire. Then it made me really angry that his murderer survived. His father was forced to relive that horrible time while she gloated over his dying body, and as he faced her, he was forced to admit that his noble sacrifice had been undone, his son was dead, Bae’s death was still unavenged, and Rumple couldn’t do anything about it because Zelena had him cornered. Does karma only apply to Rumple and not Zelena? #SoDone
