Why should Zelena be exempted the same treatment when she has only been shown to now kill only two people compared to the other trio?

Because Zelena killed people, the trio killed statistics. The audience cared about Neal and Marian, they don’t care about Peasant #365

    Quote

Still….The Trio killed, Zelena killed…it’d be hypocritical for the heroes to continue embracing the Trio whose killed dozens, but kick Zelena to the curb for two people. I understand Neal and Marian were important to storyline, but still….now Marian is 100% on Zelena’s kill list, Neal is partial.

    Quote

The heroes were always hypocritical anyway. They never bothered socialising with Rumple unless they wanted something from him then when they got it they ignored him until the next time they wanted something. Snowing are the worst for it.

    Quote

Alright…you got me there…the heroes were always hypocritical. But for people who were as terrible as Regina, Rumple, and Hook….if they can live and breath and have to fight for a second chance, I believe the same courtesy should be extended to Zelena.

In regards to how Belle would later recognize Robin, despite being in disguise:

To be fair, Robin and Belle meeting again in between those two events isn’t necessarily unlikely, but this was probably an answer Adam made on the spot.

For some reason the youtube link I put in this post never showed up, so I’m going to try editing the original post and reinserting the link. While I’m at it, I’ll fix the incorrect Dustin Hoffman movie reference I made due to my faulty memory. Finally, I added a paragraph about a really distant connection to Lana Parilla in the video.

    Overall, I liked this episode.

I especially liked the way they worked in the New York references like the homage to Midnight Cowboy (“I’m walking here!”)and also Robin Hood recreating the horseback scene from the opening of the TV show McCloud (I found a clip for comparison) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0tB-GdSC24

Most of all, I liked the fact that we finally began to be shown a little explanation for Rumple’s recent actions. I’m hopeful we’ll see more of how Bae’s death and Zelena’s control drove him to regress as he did in this season. Furthermove, the return of Zelena may be just the thing to put him back on the road toward redemption. It’s unthinkable that he’s going to just happily cooperate with her; I suspect that even within the terms of his deal, he’ll find some way to outsmart her and that will mean that he will again be in an unlikely alliance with the heroes, however uncomfortable with it both parties are. At least he will be fighting on the right side again.

I loved the surprise of Zelena’s return. I suspect, however, that she is not long for this world. After all she did before, the fact that she is doing even more now means the writers are not too likely to give her a shot at redemption. I bet she will go out in a blaze of glory, probably at the hand of Rumple (perhaps saving Belle or someone else in the process.)

The only thing I might count as a dislike is the fact that I’m still uneasy about this whole Author storyline, but I am willing to be patient and give them the benefit of the doubt. Hoefully they will pull it off. One minor quibble: when the Author was trying to make a new pen, why did Rumple refer to it as a quill? A quill by definition would be made from a feather and I don’t think we’ve ever seen the Author use a quill – always a wooden pen with a metal nib.

There’s a weak but amusing coincidence that (sort of) relates Lana Parilla to the above video. Notice at one point in the opening there is a sign in the background which reads “Pure Wool” In Spanish, that would be “Lana Pura” and of course Lana’s real name could be translated into English as “Wool Grill”. 8>)

Yup. Adventures that we are unlikely to see.

Is anyone curious to know wht Rumple cannot write HE with the enchanted ”quil” he has, but the author can? Is the heart of the truest believer required?

Also I wonder whether Pinocchio knows so much not only because of his travels but because he comes from the same enchanted wood that the ”quil” comes from. Maybe there is a magical/psychic connection there.

Another thing…the enchanted wood was able to bring life to Pinocchio….so maybe as a quil it brings life to the words on the page and the characters the author writes about (or at least influence them/change the direction of the story).

This “adventure” would have had to have been after she left Rumpel, but before she went looking for the Yao Guai, during which she just hung out at the tavern. No such adventure could have occurred.

I think you have to have the Quill and be the Author. It’s not an either/or situation. So Author but no Quill…nothing will happen. Quill but not Author…nothing will happen

Believe me…it’s going to be released in one of the Once Comic Novels like the last two were….explain the stories needed, but you got to buy the book to find out. -_- (mumbles “lazy writers”)
