Favorite:
Hook. He was amazing during this entire episode. I like him more and more each time.
Emma and Elsa and their relationship and Emma finally embracing who she is.
Snow Queen. She’s been a great villain so far.
Least favorite:
Outlaw Queen. I liked them in the third season, but can’t stand them in this one. I don’t mind them getting together, but the way they are going about it is just awful. “Sure Regina, I’ll help you with finding a book author so you can make him give you a happy ending. It’s not like I have a dying mother of my child to think of”. It’s one thing for him to be cheating on the side while his wife is dying (which is still bad in my opinion), but for him to invest all this effort into the stupid book plot which is definitely something that doesn’t need to be done right this instant, while Marian is lying Frozen and he’d not really doing much to save her….yeah I doubt the writers can do much to salvage this couple for me at this point. Don’t even get me started on Snow being”adultery is totally OK, Regina”….ugh…just no
Rumpel: I am not sure there are any words to express how angry I am with Rumpel in this chapter. He’s done some pretty bad things by now, but this one takes the cake. He’s not even conflicted, he’s a full on villain now. I so wish for Marian and Belle to realize what’s happening with their husbands and kick them to the curb.

Keb… EdR is working on other projects while filming on ONCE has been going on… I assume it was arranged with A&E prior. I think they have to keep the storyline focused and tight … too many characters muddy the waters.

Well…to be fair….there’s not much that can be done for Marian at this point. Robin can’t fall back in love with her, Regina has went through every spell and potion, and being one of the most powerful sorceresses in history…if she couldn’t find anything to counter act the Ice Curse, then there’s nothing else that can be done besides defeating the Ice Queen, which is now totally in Emma’s hands.

I feel the same way. He’s been doing a lot of bad things this season that it’s become really hard for me to like and even sympathisize with him.
I didn’t want my prediction that he would the hat on Emma to happen but it did—as much as he gave her the choice — it’s still an unforgivable act to me. He’s so far gone at this point I seriously don’t see how he can redeemed. He’s really hit rock bottom.
And he knows he’s done bad stuff but yup, he doesn’t really care to change.
I did love how self love was finally addressed. I know there was debate how that’s never been addressed and it felt appropriate for Emma love and accept who she is as a way to take control of her magic. And for Elsa to help her realize that was and even more amazing.

This got to me this episode as well. I think it might be because they needed to flesh out 2 hours of script..

THEY should have shorten the sarcasm / rambling frozen and left in the deleted scene… it had more heart and explained a lot more… PLUS it was SNOW BEING SNOW

.Faves –
– The scene where Rumple walks into his shop and Emma is making everything go wonky. I LOVED THIS MOMENT. I love how drawn out it was because usually everything moves so fast in this show. This scene really benefited from the episode being extended. I don’t know I just thought it was so freaking cool to watch.
– I loved the shot of Emma driving off in the bug. Not sure why.. I guess it was just a neat shot and it stuck with me.
– Hook’s two voicemails to Emma. Especially the second. Colin’s voice was CRUSHING me. Like whoa. He’s so good it’s stupid. Also – is Emma ever going to hear it?? There was too much info in that voicemail that only Hook knew (and now can’t tell anyone) for it not to come back into play. Did Belle hear some of it? It would be cool to get like a flashback type thing of this later where we’re seeing events from Belle’s POV and we see her hear this call. Anyways… it was unclear whether Rumple deleted it off Emma’s phone or just said she wouldn’t hear it because he thought she’d be in the hat.
– The Emma and Elsa scene in the mansion is one of my favorites from the series TBH. Georgina and JMo really brought it and I was captivated. Loved the message too. So so important.
– Captain Swan hug and kiss.. duh… giggles all around. Also Emma noticing immediately there was something off about Hook.
– FIREWORKS!!! Yes yes yes. ALWAYS here for fireworks… hehe 🙂
Least faves
– Seeing Henry run away from Emma was painful. I didn’t dislike it I guess it just gave me the mega-sads.
– I hate to say but Outlaw Queen had me feeling really uncomfortable. I don’t even know why cause I don’t take issue with the cheating really. Also any time spent on this or Operation Mongoose AFTER Hook had his heart taken were like… I wasn’t even able to pay attention to them to be honest. Bad scene placement for me I guess!
– The Charmings being TOTALLY CLUELESS that both Hook and Elsa have disappeared from their house. The two people basically most attached to Emma besides themselves and Emma is missing and about to do something possibly dangerous and they don’t even realize these two have left? Uh… ok?? I just don’t like how the Charmings are being handled this season. Sigh.
– Rumple taunting Hook about Milah and Emma and taking his heart. Heart. Broken. Forever. *cries* Another thing I didn’t really DISLIKE just made me super sad!!!
– Rumple trying to use the hat on Emma. So stressful. I feel like Emma has done a lot for Gold (broke the curse… found Neal) and this deception was really terrible. I wish I could understand what they’re doing with this character. I’m at a loss. He’s somehow going below rock bottom??? Like how does this character get redeemed at this point? I don’t even know. Bobby is amazing though so that’s nice to see.
I just read it as an opportunity he couldn’t pass up. He didn’t force the issue, I want to believe, because he DOES respect and care about Emma and didn’t want to hurt her…he just couldn’t resist taking advantage of her desperation. It was RIGHT THERE, and he’s an addict for the power. But I think that’s why he made it so easy for her to change her mind; he knew he was doing the wrong thing and part of him didn’t want to.
And I realize I may be reading a lot into it, but that’s what I got.

I do wonder about Belle since Family Business. Is she purposely ignoring all the bad stuff he’s doing just to keep herself sane or does she suspect? Like I would have loved to have known, did Belle know that Rumple was sneaking out late at night to trap Emma in the hat? They live in the same house, how can she not notice that? Heavy sleeper?
