Nobody comforting Belle- The poor woman has just kicked her beloved out of Storybrooke to protect the town and yet it seems like she’s expected just to suck it up and deal with it. Meanwhile everyone is on the “poor Regina” wagon just because she didn’t hook up with a guy.
Yeah, I noticed this too and it’s a bit annoying. My headcanon now includes Belle eating bucketloads of (melting) icecream by herself in the library.
[adrotate group="5"]December 16, 2014 at 11:23 am #293454KebParticipantIt’s a perfectly acceptable headcanon…we know Belle overindulges when she breaks up with Rumple. She went straight to the pub in FTL instead of straight home, and did in Granny’s supply of iced tea when she couldn’t get Rumple to be honest with her in The Crocodile…and then there’s Lacey…
Yeah, Belle is probably pretty smashed right now.

They set that up as a pretty final goodbye.
Wait. We didn’t see Kristoph. Which means something could easily have happened to him. I remember thinking during the episode that something happened to him.
You know what I don’t get. During all the seasons, we’ve established that true love’s kiss doesn’t just mean husband/wife, and includes a lot of son/mother (also, nobody ever seems to mean to break the curse while kissing). Robin may not feel true love for Marian any more, but surely Roland does? He could’ve easily saved his mum surely.
And Belle was confused. Rumple only said that someone’s greatest weakness was usually the thing they loved most, but he could’ve easily said “You’re not my weakness, you’re my strength”. I still don’t get why Rumple’s bad, but I’ll be honest, I like it… If they give him a proper reason. I don’t get him at the moment. But in all the seasons, he’s never been a proper bad guy. He’s been in the background, neutral. If he was the main villain like he was in Smash the Mirror, he’d give villains everywhere a run for their money. And I like the idea of him not just working with the “Queens of Darkness”, but creating a whole “army” of darkness. I think if anyone can do that right, it’s Rumple. Bring out everyone’s inner darkness…
Also, does anyone else really hate the sorcerer/author? I think Ursula was right on that. He sounds pretentious. Thinks he’s above everyone else. What if he’s the real bad guy? Maybe that’s Rumple’s motivation? Rumple pretends he’s gone back to the dark side. For the sorcerer, everything’s normal again. Bad guys and good guys are separate again. He lets his guard down. Yeah, yeah, I know, my theory makes no sense, but it’s gotta be something. Surely. I like to think he’s playing the long con anyway.
But I really liked this episode.

Kristoff is alive and well and was about to marry Anna in the final Frozen scene. Anna and Elsa were on their way to the wedding.

Marian didn’t necessarily need TLK. “An act of true love will thaw a frozen heart”. TLK is not th only act of true love as the Frozen movie proved. It could be argued that Marian “releasing” Robin to be with Regina was an act of true love on her end as she wanted him to be happy even if it wasn’t with her.
All magic comes with a price!
Keeper of FelixDecember 16, 2014 at 5:42 pm #293490mujieParticipantBasically, they could’ve done anything to stop Marian and Robin leaving. 🙂
What I mean, though, about the Kristoph thing, is that something could’ve happened to him right before the wedding. I’m going to give a spoiler to another TV show here, so, spoilers.
In the Scandal mid-season finale, Olivia goes missing while Jake is doing something else.
We saw Elsa and Anna leave together, but I like to think they go into the wedding ceremony and just be confused because Kristoph’s not there, and been taken or something. But yeah, they probably did just leave it as a happy ending. 🙂

They might have only been allowed to have the Frozen stuff for strictly just this arc. Hence why they crammed in so much screen time for those characters.

The gauntlet was a bit weird but whatevs. Cruella looks amazing, as does Malificent but Ursula’s costume looked pretty tacky.
Loved the “you’ve confused me with my mother. You don’t need a speech. You need a drinking buddy. Shots?” at the bar, and the reveal of the blank story books. I don’t care much for all the shipping wars in this fandom but I do like the Swan Queen friendship. It’s up there with Captain Charming as my BroTP.

I like how his new, full family is so important to Henry. He likes saying “Grandma” and “Grandpa”.
