And where did they get the baby carrier…?
I hear Felix is down there and runs a store called ‘Baby and Camping Supplies for Deceased Nature Loving Parents’. Robin popped in there and paid for it all with money he stole from the living to give to the dead.
Well, so long as you have a logical explanation…LOL

She’s the daughter of the Wicked Witch! They’re lucky she didn’t MELT!!!! 😆

Likes:
young Zelena and young Regina meeting. This was done much better than I had anticipated even if the setup was a bit wonky. It was especially fun to see young zelena practicing magic and also seeing them playing dress up.
The Hook and Cora reunion. I didn’t realize I needed this until it happened. I think my favorite part of the episode was Cora calling hook her fairy godmother.
the return of Robbie Kay! I’m really not sure what Rumple is up to, but if it involves my favorite villain I will play along for a bit. He does evil so so well.
Dislikes:
James and David encounter…. eh. I wish this had happened earlier in the season and the switcheroo lasted a bit longer with Emma sensing something was off similar to how she sensed something was off about Liam. It seems soo unlikely that Emma wouldn’t have picked up on it back at the loft when he awkwardly couldn’t remember that photo. (although I did enjoy Emma’s line about all the curses and time jumps – I think they wrote that for us fans.)

Cora’s hair and costumes in flashback- Both are really nice.
The Zelena/Hades relationship- I will actually be sad if this doesn’t work out.
“Why is everything in the woods with you people”- Cruella, as always, binging the humour. Also punching Emma.
Zelena- Zelena has now become one of my favourite characters of season 5, such a difference from season 3.
Regina letting Zelena be with Hades- Not that Zelena needed Regina’s permission anyway, but it’s nice that Regina recognised that it is possible for people to change. It would’ve been hypocritical not to since she herself changed for the better.
The Cruella/James partnership- Shame we didn’t see more of it though it probably wouldn’t be suitable for a family show. LOL at the look on Emma’s face when Cruella and James were flirting because it was almost as if she was seeing her dad involved with someone else.
Mixed
Flashback Cora- Whilst it was nice to see Cora somewhat caring towards young Regina, at the same time Cora is supposed to be heartless yet it seems she’s getting along fine without it. Her affection towards young Regina in this episode doesn’t really gel with what we’ve seen of Cora in earlier flashbacks.
Disliked
Regina acting all high and mighty towards Zelena- I dislike Regina when she’s like that because it makes her very hypocritical.

Liked:
The Mills women. I adore Barbara Hershey, and she just does Cora so well — from the icy Past!Cora to the repentant UB!Cora. Lana and Bex were also wonderful and the scenes with the three of them were mostly really good
Cruella punching Emma.
The return of Peter Pan, terror that he is. I am actually looking forward to seeing what he and Rumple will be up to.
Mixed:
I don’t know about the message that what Zelena really needs is to find a “new love” with Hades. With the presumption that this is somehow a replacement for the love she’s missed out from Cora? As if romantic love and mother-daughter love are somehow the same sort of thing? And what about baby Pistachio, wouldn’t that be a more logical source of completion for Zelena? Unless this is set up as something that, in retrospect, will turn out to be bad advice. Narratively speaking, warnings from the dead should probably be taken seriously — when Cora says she thinks that something about this place has “warped” Hades, perhaps she’s right?
Disliked:
Babies as props. Seriously. Robin wandering around the woods logging a car seat. I mean, this is so utterly hilariously ridiculous, I can’t even. Or leaving the baby on the hood of a car. In the rain. Just sitting there. Someone, for the love of all that is holy, get Robin to a babywearing class. It’d be such a useful skill to have, seeing how he insists on using a bow.
Oy, the Rumple/Belle scene. No idea where this is going, but I suspect more of the same. More of the same Rumple’s gonna Rumple, and Belle is going to throw a tantrum as soon as she finds out. I am so so sad to say this, but I am so utterly sick of the repetitive writing for the Rumbelle plot. At this point, if the writers decide to do another “Rumple for the evilz all the way” storyline in this arc as well, they are just wasting the audience’s time.

I think the problem with RumBelle is that, if the writers allowed the characters to dictate where the writing went rather than force them into situations that make them OOC, then RumBelle would’ve resolved their differences seasons ago and been living happily ever since. However, the writers don’t like it when all is well, so they always throw some problem at the characters. Because none of the “heroes” interact with RumBelle other than when they want something, RumBelle’s issues are very internal rather than external hence why Rumple always does something that Belle doesn’t want even when there is no benefit in it for him and Belle inevitably always finds out and has a hissy fit.
Her handsome hero was a good episode for RumBelle where they were working together towards a common goal yet bickering like an old married couple on how to get there, yet next episode was back to Belle dictating and trying to force Rumple into her way of thinking.

A&E has said frequently that EMMA’s power does not work with family as too many emotions are involved …. they work with strangers but not when Emma or family are not involved.
I am with you on the JAMES & DAVID encounter … they should have bumped up together before and more often building up to the final scene. The writers waste the opportunity to build the main story, the main characters for what ??? I am so tired of the weak filler episodes about characters I do not care for; that disappear after one episode …..

They have said that when Emma is emotionally compromised, her superpowers go wonky. It has nothing to do with family or being a stranger. And in reality a deaf and blind person could have detected that something was up with “Charming.” But Emma more or less walked around like a zombie in this episode and had little emotional reactions to anything.
