Okay, we’ve been talking a lot about our favorite couples romantically speaking, but how about our favorite BFFs? Honestly, as much as I love me some romance, in this show I have been much more invested in not just the family aspect but the bromances. And by bromance I mean girls as well. 😉 So what’s your favorite pair of besties, partners in crime, or unlikely duos? Or which pair do you think SHOULD be best friends?
For me, the first and most obvious is Emma and Mary Margaret, both pre and post curse breaking. Even though their dynamic has changed so much this season, you can tell they still consider each other their best friend. I have to admit though, sometimes I actually miss the way they were last season. They were just such adorable besties, the way Emma was always trying to protect MM and how MM was always just to get past Emma’s walls. Plus they remind me in many ways of me and my best friend, so there’s that!
My other favorite, and more and more I am bro-shipping this SO hard, are David and Rumple. Every single time these two are together, even if one is threatening the other, they just have the most hilarious chemistry to me. I thought so last season when Rumple gave Charming the ring to find Snow and then changed his outfit. I was like, man, what a good wingman! And then when Gold was asking David dating advice. 😆 They are truly my Bro OTP.
Also, Jefferson, Viktor, and Rumple. In my head canon, they really were all in a band together, and they are just the coolest bunch of weirdoes ever. Throw David in there, and I could totally see them all going bar hopping together. 😆

If we’re talking true bromance, with a couple of non-romantically-involved guys who get on like an old married couple, David and Rumple have potential, but they’re not there for me yet.
I’m eager to see how Hook and Nealfire interact, and am hoping CaptainFire will bring some bromance to the mix.

Rumple and Charming. Rumple wants to be the romantic hero and I love that abut him. I love that when they’re together Charming is a bit more intelligent and sneaky (like in We are Both refusing to give Rumple any answers about who he is looking for.)

I do really like the Ruby/Belle friendship, as well as the friendships between Ruby and Snow and Snow + Dwarves. Mulan + Belle and Mulan + Aurora and Mulan + Phillip are all kinda excellent friendships too.
What I want to see more of (and I’m annoyed we never saw Leroy visit Belle in the hospital–at least Ruby did, though GAH why the lying?) is Belle + Grumpy’s friendship. That and her brief stint with Mulan are like the only friendships she had after meeting Rumple (so far as we know), and Leroy’s the only one besides her father, Regina, and Rumple who we know would have recognized her in SB (before Hook showed up).
Though Jefferson did know of her and I hate that he’s not on the show much cuz how he found out about her would be interesting, too. He spent enough time with both Regina and Rumple pre-curse that he might have learned of her back then, which would explain how he knew she could be of use to him. I kinda wonder what sort of relationship they would have at this point.

I agree, I LOVE the friendships in the show and often people get too caught up in the love and hate to talk about “the like”.

I like the friendships too! I don’t see Belle and Ruby as lovers, but I adore them as friends! The friendship between Emma and Mary Margaret in the first season was really nice too- the dynamic has changed now that they know they are mother and daughter.
I do want to see more of Rumple and Charming- they have this funny admiration/annoyance thing going on with each other.
I hope Belle calls Ruby out on her lying when she regains her memory. Belle knew that she saw magic and she just wanted Ruby to confirm it. Instead, Ruby lied and made Belle feel like she was crazy.
I would like to see more of Rumple and Charming.They have a grudging respect for each other and although they will never be BFFs, they do work together well when the need arises.

Keeper of FelixI love the interaction between David and Rump, but for now, I can’t call it bromance, we are far from it, right now. But I would love to see a bromance developed between those two. It would be great to watch. I sort of hoped a bromance would develop between Whales and Rump, too, but alas,after what we seen Rump do to him in the bts pics for lacey, I fear it's dead. I broship Jefferson and Rump, to, bu alas, again, Jeff is nowhere to be seen since Sebastien Stan is a busy man (I’m glad for him of course, but still…)
