Regina absolutely ruled with lines tonight! And I’m sure there’s more to come. One of my faves that nobody has mentioned is this one though: Mulan: I have a question… Neal: I don’t know how to explain movies… I LOVE that Neal is the one to bring the “growing up in the real world” sort of levity to the show. I know Emma has sort of had comments about it, but it makes me wonder if he actually started watching “fairy tale” movies because it reminded him of home!
I died laughing at the Mulan/Neal quote you listed
[adrotate group="5"]Time to hide your crazy, and start acting like a lady.
October 1, 2013 at 1:54 am #213221Killian JonesParticipantJust saw the ep again gotta say I’m a pretty big Hook fan but it was cool to see Neal say “In this land I’m known as Baelfire” I think it’s the first time he’s ever said his real name.
October 1, 2013 at 6:08 am #213232PriceofMagicParticipantLoved RH’s line that nobody would claim to be Rumple’s son if they weren’t really and also Neal’s line about how “family is important to dear old dad”
I also liked Felix’s line of “we are the home office” because the look on GOAT’s faces were priceless.
All magic comes with a price!
Keeper of FelixOctober 1, 2013 at 1:53 pm #213305MyrilParticipantA few quotes, one-liners and dialogue. And like last season with annotations of the not so serious kind.
Henry: “You’re here to destroy Neverland?”
Tamara: “It’s the mother lode of magic.”
(in your nightmares 😉 )
Greg: “We don’t ask questions. We just believe in our cause.”
(dedicated idiots. at least in fiction a guarantee for early death)
Henry: “It’s a good thing you guys don’t ask any questions”
(smarty-pants)
Hook: “Oh, I know my hotheaded queen.”
(they should make a running gag of it, or is it already? Hook calling Regina something queen)
Regina: “Greg Mendell said something funny to me. He said, I’m a villain, and that villains don’t get happy endings. Do you believe that?”
Hook: “I hope not. Or we waisted our lives.”
(as long as you’re not waisting ours. but serious, kinda: villains don’t get happy endings, only tragic heroes, lucky for you the lines are blurred)
Emma: “I didn’t grow up in some fairytale land.”
(indeed, people in our world are far more realistic but as irrational)
Emma: “How can you two be so infuriatingly optimistic?”
(thanks for speaking it out loud, finally)
Snow: “Emma, the minute I let go of the belief that things will get better, is the minute I know they won’t.”
(wise words, I guess)Hook: “Oh that’s a good use of our time: a wardrobe change.”
(superheroes and supervillains do that all the time, it’s part of what makes them super)
Emma: “I slayed a dragon. I think I believe)
(It’s the thinking part that is the problem here)
Rumple (to Emma): “Sorry dearie. Our foe is too fearsome for hand-holding. Neverland is a place where imagination runs wild. And sadly, yours doesn’t.”
(blame upbringing)
Felix: “We’re the home office. Welcome to Neverland.”
Tamara:”The home office is a bunch of teenagers?”
(surprise!)
Henry: “They’re not teenagers. They’re the lost boys.”
(thanks for clearing that up, smarty-pants, so they’re everlasting teenagers)
Hook: “What are you doing?”
Emma: “Getting ready for a fight.”
Hook: “Well, I’ve never known you to need to get ready for a fight. I thought it was a natural state.”
(he is so charming)
Phillip: “Were you hit by some kind of arrow?”
Neal: “.45 caliber arrow”
(mini-arrow)
Neal: “Tell Emma I’m alive, and I love her”(where’s the hanky?)
Hook: “Prepare for attack!”
Regina: “Be more specific.”
Hook: “If you’ve got a weapon, then grab it!”
(thanks for making that clear. Obviously Regina spent too much time in administration)
Emma: “What’s out there? A shark? A whale?”
David: “A kraken?”
Hook: “Worse… Mermaids.”
(So just that you know, this is not Jaws nor Sharknado, not Pinocchio, and nope, the kraken was another pirat’s story. Uhm, no, not Sindbad or Odysseus either – but these two would at least have quite an idea how dangerous mermaids are. Some greetings from Hogward though, these mermaids living in Neverland could be distant cousins)
David: “I will not be capsized by fish!”
(you’re so right, that would be so outrageous for any good prince – meanwhile his true love goes fishing – but you shouldn’t wonder if they keep on attacking if you keep calling them fish)
Neal: “Ah, well, for starters, they think that this place is just a fairy tale. Like a… like a legend, like we’re all just characters in a story.
Mulan: “I’m in a story?”
Neal: “Yeah, they made a movie about you. It’s actually pretty good.”
Mulan:”What’s a movie?”
(uhm, it’s moving pictures, eh, or so, with sound, and projected on a wall, but now on some device with screen, and, well, don’t bother, who needs movies if living in fairytale land)
Mulan: “Your belief in love wasn’t strong enough to overcome your fear of rejection.”
(sounds like she knows what she’s talking about)
Snow: “Threatening isn’t the way to motivate her.”
Regina: “Well, I’m all out of fish food.”
(of course Regina had to think of food, maybe try your fabulous lasagne instead)
Robin Hood: “I’d bow but this quiver’s rather tight”
(why do I suddenly have to think of men in tights…)
Neal: “Might not always seem like it, but family was important to dear old dad.”
(dad destroyed worlds for it)
Hook: “This isn’t a storm. It’s a bloody damnation!”
(at least it’s not raining sharks)
Regina: “And what? You’ll win her over with your rainbow kisses and unicorn stickers.”
(these pesky peaceniks and hippies)
Snow: “I’m so tired of you ruining my life!”
(take a break and let her ruin her own life for a change? just a suggestion)
Rumple (about Peter Pan): “There is always something with him.”
(could say the same about you, Rumple)
Neal: “I spent my entire life running from magic. Now it’s the only thing that can help me.”
(ironic, isn’t it, and so unexpected)
Emma: “It’s time for all of us to believe, not in magic, but in each other.”
Regina: “You wanna be friends?”
(can you be more specific?)
Emma: “I’m a mother, and now I’m also your leader.”
(period!)
Peter Pan: “And it is so much easier to get people to hate something than to believe.”
(sadly very true)
Peter Pan:”Let’s play!”
(rubbing hands)
¯\_(?????? ?)_/¯

Thanks 🙂
And I have one more:
Neal: “You don’t want to see I.D.?”
Robin Hood: “Who would claim to be that who wasn’t.”
(Someone liking The Untouchables? And there we thought you don’t know movies in the fairytale lands. You’re right, being the son of the Dark One comes close to being a treasury officer)

I apologize for that. I caught it and changed it.
General rule: keep the language clean please.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"October 1, 2013 at 3:03 pm #213329GaultheriaParticipantThanks, but, um, I have to be honest about this… I know the podcast hosts use the replacement word a lot, but it’s still at the profane end of the scale. It’s not as if I don’t know the words, but they really take away from the friendly atmosphere of a place.

I understand. I’m following the rules and examples Daniel has laid out for us. If you’d like to speak to him, you’re more than welcome to.
