OK, was I the only one who snickered about the fact that Greg is from Carlyle/ Carlisle Pensylvania?

Loved that. Not least for the idea of target practice with loud music blaring. Love that song by Joan Jett. And that (practice something I like while listening to loud music – whether it’s knitting, or cross stitch, or the gym or… although this isn’t necessarily something I “like” but is good brain off stuff, cleaning the house!) is totes something I do!

But I decided to reserve judgement to see if it served the purpose of the storyline in a way I could get behind. Now that I’ve seen it…still hate it. We’ll never get Emma and August dealing with crap they should have dealt with. Geppetto and Pinocchio get a do-over while the Charmings and Emma don’t, which isn’t exactly fair. The character of August and all his development was sacrificed just so they could have the plot device of him losing his memory so Tamara doesn’t get busted for a few more episodes.
Also disliked how Tamara just waltzed into town so easily, given how stressed everyone had been about Greg and wanting to get rid of him, but she shows up and is just automatically accepted and is wandering around without anyone wanting to kick her out of town. Was inconsistent.
I didn’t dislike the whole ep, thought some parts of it were really well done and like some of the curve balls they threw at us, but for now I’m just in a negative mood.
March 25, 2013 at 12:27 pm #182108RumplesGirlKeymasterI think the part that I liked the least is that Emma and August got like 5 seconds together. They have so much to work through, after what August did to Neal and Emma, he needed a chance to fully explain, to apologize, to try and be redeemed. This wasn’t redemption, he just gets a do-over.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"March 25, 2013 at 12:40 pm #182115PheeParticipantNot just his role in breaking Neal and Emma up, but also a resolution of how he left her as a baby. They should have shown Emma acknowledging that she now believes, and that he played a role in that, and shown her understanding where he’d come from and why he ran away and left her. They had the makings of a strong friendship if they’d let them work through all of that. Now it’s wasted potential and dropped threads of character development.

I agree 100%. This could have been a really fantastic moment for Emma. She could have told August that even though she had a really rough life, him leaving her lead to her son and being reunited with her family, and believing that she is the savior which saved everyone! There was so much more they needed to do with that scene.

Snow shooting arrows into a tree while rocking Joan Jett. Amazing!
Henry and Emma’s reconciliation – I was starting to be annoyed by his bitter disposition.
Seeing the wonderful Eion Bailey again. Is it just me, or were there sparks between him and Emma? I’m a total swanthief supporter, but if she were going to end up with anyone else – it should have been August.
When Tamara acknowledged the clear connection between Neal and Emma.
Least –
August. Turning. Back. To. A. Child. Now, I understand the reasons behind it. Eion Bailey is a busy man, and pinnochio’s character arc was winding down, but that doesn’t mean I have to like it! August was a wonderfully flawed, complex character who I wish was going to stay around.
Tamara incredible manipulation of Neal! Tamara, in general – which was wonderfully portrayed by sonqua martin-green

Just…completely agree. August was so neatly tied to the key players…to Emma, Henry, Bae, Blue Fairy, Mr. Gold. All that careful story-building…wasted. Utterly wasted.

PART OF THE PROBLEM is they lost EION BAILEY to another show… he squeezed in a couple of days shooting for OUAT but apparently he is not available for further shooting due to being on another show. I think he had to fulfill his origianl contract with OUaT,. I do not think that they planned to turn him into a child originally. Something OUAT needs to learn is….
YOU SNOOZE YOU LOOSE THEY make popular several other actors and actresses and then loose them to other shows..It has happen to : Kathryn / Megan aka RED / Sebastian Stan / CINDERELLA / Sidney… even Blue Fairy has another job…. this has happen to several characters/ actresses and actors,
