Maybe Tamara has managed to use a little bit of magic to disguise her weapon as a taser so that it isn’t a taser at all but just looks like one.
But other than the taser, there is no hint that she has magic. She knows about magic, and had been searching for it for what seems to be years, but we have yet to see if actually has magic herself other than the taser.
Also, making the taser look normal is more a fault to the writers. If Tamara has disguised the taser to look normal, that should be hinted at or confirmed. Instead, it looks normal, and fans automatically think this to be another incovenient plot-hole.
[adrotate group="5"]March 31, 2013 at 2:04 am #183417HappyEndingsSpectatorQuestion: How did Tamara know that August was meeting the dragon and how did she know he was at the sheriffs office she seems to just pop up from no where? Also, why would she follow August around plus August didn’t have any magic so that doesn’t make sense to me? ❓
March 31, 2013 at 2:08 am #183419RumplesGirlKeymasterTo the first question, I think her meeting August was just good luck. I think Tamara was just there for the magic the Dragon could offer her. She wasn’t specifically looking for August.
To the second question, not a clue how she knew he was in the office. I don’t know if they explained that.
To the third question, August doesn’t have magic, but he is magical. He was a walking wooden man. So that’s why I think the taser didn’t kill him so much as take his essence which lead to killing him. And his essence happens to be magical, like the Dragon. But that’s just my theory."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"March 31, 2013 at 2:12 am #183420angiebelleParticipant@RumplesGirl wrote:

She very conspicuously showed August her big wad of cash, then deliberately left her bag on the bar for no apparent reason and asked him to watch over it. Nobody does that, especially nobody who needs that money in order to stay alive. It was a setup, a sting. I’m thinking Tamara must be from an organization similar to the god-hunters on The Almighty Johnsons.

The Dragon saw right through her fake story from the beginning, and she knew it. The only way she could get a potion from him was to use someone else. August was obviously someone who was genuinely in need of the Dragon’s help, so would be able to get a potion from him. So she flashed the money, didn’t put it away properly, then deliberately walked away, knowing that August was so desperate he’d take the money, get the potion, then she could just follow and take it from him. I don’t think she knew about August before they were in the waiting room together, but he was a very convenient tool for her to use as a backup plan.

That is a very interesting theory. What if Tamara was recruited because of what ever happened to her grandmother? As M said to Bond in Skyfall “Orphans make the best recruits”.
What if Tamara’s grandmother wasn’t her real grandmother at all but someone Tamara, as a child, was lead to believe was her grandmother. Her “grandmother” could have been Tamara’s trainer then when Tamara’s grandmother “died”, Tamara would have been ready to carry out the organisation’s agenda especially if magic was somehow involved in her “grandmother’s death”.
All magic comes with a price!

I think this is spot on. The Dragon saw right through her and she knew it. When she went back the second time, it was like he was waiting for her at the window. Almost as if he knew she would be coming back and what for. I just think he was surprised she had that taser.
