This one has been my least favourite of the season so far, which is a shame as I really wanted to like it!- It just didn’t flow nicely for me & the SB stuff was very flat.
Favourite: Emma outing Hook – so glad the writers done it this way & didn’t turn Emma & Snow into gullible fools 😀 Loved Hook tied to the tree for interrogation hehe 😎 😆 Charming & Henry when he was given his ‘stead’- poor Henry when he realised there was a heap more work to being a knight/prince than just riding around with a sword lol 😉
Least Favourite: Pretty much the entire Whale/Daniel/Regina/Rumple/Hatter story line- it was predictable to the extreme (the Rumple using Regina through Hatter & Vic to get her to rip out hearts was a given by the unicorn, as well as Vic faking the ‘transplant’ in order to keep it for himself 🙄 -I guess I’ve just come to expect more this season 😉 ), as well as it felt disconnected from the story in general- like it was done especially to fit with Halloween & other wise didn’t ‘do’ anything for the story in general…I don’t know- maybe it’s because so far this season it seems that EVERYTHING Regina has done, is a direct result of manipulation on Rumples part (personally that’s getting a bit old for me), I think is meant to be setting up the whole Regina was ‘miss guided’ & was/is really a good person without Rumples influence, along side Rumple grooming her to use the curse etc, it’s just getting to the point where that story line is a bit stale now I think, so I do hope they change it up or move it along there 😐

Least Favourite: The fact that the fairytale flashback was dedicated to Regina and not Whale. Ugh. I need more David Anders in my life, please.

So many good lines in this episode. 3) The black and white sequence at the end. Loved it, and a nice tribute to classic horror films.
Least favorite moment: 1) Seeing the logo with the producers’ names. Because it meant the show was over. 2) Don’t get me wrong, I loved the episode, and seeing Regina turn into a heart-ripping evil queen was cool, but I thought her motivation for doing so was weak.
October 29, 2012 at 1:21 pm #158433RumplesGirlKeymasterFavorite moments: 1) Charming punching Whale cause…YES 2) Jefferson. Jefferson. Jefferson. Jefferson. Did I mention Jefferson! I love non-crazy Mad Hatter! He was wonderful. More Jefferson.
Least favorite moments 1) Daniel coming back, while poignant , had a bit too much cheese factor for me. Also…”it’s alive!” really? They HAD to go there??? 🙂
Also, did anyone else think the girl Regina killed toward the end of the episode looked a lot like Esmerleda?
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"October 29, 2012 at 1:46 pm #158439SlurpeezParticipantFavorite moment: When we heard Mr. Gold call Dr. Whale by his true first name: Victor. Finally, confirmation! 🙂
Least-favorite moment: When Rumpel organized events which corrupted Regina, driving her to rip someone’s heart out for the first time.

Favorite Moments:
-David Anders as Dr. Frankenstein. His acting was superb and he looked amazing.-Seeing Rumpel and Jefferson acting like total bros. 😆 I had no idea they even knew each other. Those two could make for a wicked bromance.
Least Favorite Moments:
-Regina ripping out the girl’s heart towards the end of the episode. I thought it would take an entire season to see how Regina became evil, but it only took 2 episodes. I still find her reasoning for becoming evil a bit weak.-Not enough Dr. Frankenstein. This wasn’t his episode, it was Regina’s. I didn’t like that.
October 29, 2012 at 2:01 pm #158444midnight drearyParticipantFavorite Moments: I loved seeing Regina, Rumpel and Jefferson together. Jefferson was amazing and his chemistry with Rumpel was surprisingly awesome. They seemed pretty friendly with one another. It kind of reminded me of the Sorcerer and his apprentice. 😉
Lana and Robert’s acting were phenomenal as usual. But I have to give special props to Sebastian and David Anders. They held their own again Robert and Lana and I was beyond impressed with their performances.
Charming punched Dr. Whale….tee hee! 😆
Least Favorite: Hmmm…not too much. I guess I could have done with a lot less Regina and a lot more Dr. Frankenstein. This was supposed to be his first character centric episode, but instead it turned out to be another character centric episode for Regina. Hopefully, we’ll receive more Dr. Whale centric episodes in the future. I found him absolutely fascinating last night.
October 29, 2012 at 2:07 pm #158447TheGoldenKeyParticipantFavourite moments? I’m with slurpeez on that one. After all these months and having taken so many knocks from people on other boards, it was great to finally have confirmation. Jefferson was such a little devil! Had me chuckling throughout the episode.
Least favourite moments? I would have loved to have seen Henry run up to Reggie and give her a huge hug after she dusted Daniel. They missed a real opportunity there. Reggie was at her most vulnerable state & grieving and she had just saved Henry. It would have been a very touching moment between the two of them.

My only grip with the episode is that the writers are placing all of Regina’s evil deeds on the shoulders of other people. First it was Snow, then it was Rumpel manipulating her, then it was Jefferson, then it was Dr. Frankenstein. It’s like the writers are trying to sweep all of Regina’s past evil deeds under the rug by blaming other characters, and it’s not realistic. It’s getting tiring and it’s not a good way to redeem someone. In order to redeem someone, you have to accept responsibility for your evil deeds and face them. Not simply chalk it all up to other people. A good amount of Regina past evil deeds have been officially placed on the shoulders of other characters.
October 29, 2012 at 2:11 pm #158452melliemdParticipantAgree COMPLETELY Chipped. People seem all too ready to forgive her, or blame someone else and let her be redeemed. But she has done so many horrible things and it’s disgusting to just go ahead and say “It’s not her fault, it’s because of ____” She’s the one who committed the acts and she needs to be held responsible.
