Hi all,
Since Queen of Hearts aired, I’ve been rewatching… And then I saw this video (sidebar: kudos to the maker of it, it is awesome) and a few scenes from Queen of Hearts had me thinking:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0yBgOW9vRo&list=HL1357247777
1. In the episode “The Doctor” they talked about how once a heart is taken, it becomes like a “super heart” and is super powerful. To ME, that means Aurora now has a super heart, and I think that might come into play in the future. (I still think they are going to tie Mulan/Aurora into the SB storyline through Charming, Snow and Henry dreaming of the fiery room and communicating with Aurora that way. I am fairly sure that Snow will be worried about her, since she mothered her a lot in FTL, so she’d want to check in I would think also? Like a telephone “just gonna go to sleep and see if Aurora’s also having this traumatic nightmare”)
2. I was trying to see what Snow did with the scroll after she blew that bit of ink off it to get out of the cage – but since the scroll was super long and only a little came off when she blew on it, I wouldn’t be surprised if this also comes up again in SB or FTL, depending on what Snow did with it!
3. I also still think it is curious that Rumpel swooped Ruby away with one flick of his hand, but totally let Regina take in all the magic in that portal. I think that was intentional – Rumpel wants her to have that magic for some reason? Otherwise, he could have flicked her away too, if he really didn’t want to risk Cora getting to SB.
4. And I also still think it was definitely not Snow’s most shining moment when she left Mulan’s super special Cora-repelling sword in FTL and it will be a HUGE goof if they end up being like “oh, Snow brought it back with her” when she CLEARLY had nothing with her (the parchment, I’d give them, because it would fit in her pocket, but not the sword).
5. I also think we will find out that Snow and Charming’s kiss at the end will have also broken the spell keeping everyone trapped in SB. Like always, the big rainbow magical thinger jolted all the other people, as well as waking up Charming – and I believe something ELSE has happened every time we’ve seen the sleeping curse broken? (Didn’t winter end in the pilot when Charming kissed Snow, and then the curse was broken when Emma kissed Henry?) And IF this is the case, I am wondering if something happened when Philip kissed Aurora in FTL [i.e. Cora getting out, or gaining power or something] that we might find out about at another time?
Nothing like super last minute theories!

That’s possible. I was thinking how the boundary curse might be broken, but somehow, I think it has to do with Regina, she plays a part somehow.

When Mr. Gold is describing the fiery room from the sleeping curse, he is talking about the soul being transported to another realm….
Cora describes the EXACT SAME THING when she is talking about what happens when the Raith (sp?) takes the soul…David screwed up the whole “other realm” by breaking through the ceiling of the fiery room to get to Snow… so I am wondering if THAT could come into play as well? During Aurora’s journey to find Philip I mean.
January 6, 2013 at 7:21 pm #167139eirelandParticipantALSO… again…
I keep still thinking that it is weird that Cora (as Lance) ensured that Mulan would go with Emma and Snow (at first I was like “oh she probably just as Mulan’s heart” but then why take Aurora’s) and then I decided “maybe it was because Mulan had the sword that could fight Cora, and Cora is kind of afraid of her, so to massacre the sanctuary, she needed Mulan to be elsewhere…However, at the end of “Into the Deep”, Aurora stops Snow from killing Mulan, so I was kind of wondering if there is more to that (Aurora does it, but then it cuts right away to Cora using her heart as a walkie talkie…). You’d think if Cora was afraid of Mulan or wanted to weaken Snow and Emma, she would have waited to present Aurora to them until after Mulan was dead… unless she was just watching until she made Aurora give her the “message” from Hook… ?
Def more back story needed!
January 6, 2013 at 7:40 pm #167143evilqueenParticipantFor the fire room, yeah, that has been pointed out before and at some point we were even certain that Aurora or Henry (or both) would stumble upon Philip in their dreams.
As for controlling Aurora, I think it is pretty self-explanatory that Cora doesn’t control Aurora at all time – Cora needs to sleep too! 😈 Plus if she was controlled non-stop, she would never come across equally believable since she would definitely be acting differently, more like Cora and not Aurora and they would (especially Mulan) quickly pick up on it.
And Mulan herself – I don’t think Cora is afraid of her or her sword (especially that we saw Snow defeating Mulan and nearly killing her so clearly, the sword isn’t protecting her), she just used her cards and manipulated people – in the end she’s a Queen of Hearts, she doesn’t have to threaten people to kill to have them do what she wants, as she proved so many times.
She simply sent Mulan with Emma and Snow because she knew she was a warrior skilled enough to protect them in their mission and make sure they reach their destination as she didn’t know the last portal was and she REALLY was desperate to find it.
I also believe she killed entire village because she had a plan to follow – make Hook believable and trustworthy – other than that she probably wouldn’t harm a single villager as she didn’t care about them. As it turned out they were absolutely harmless, even as zombies…January 6, 2013 at 11:07 pm #167151eirelandParticipantOh, I know she doesn’t always have control, but right then, they cut right away to Cora speaking into Aurora’s heart about the message from Hook… So I was just meaning… we know that right then, Cora was controlling Aurora (probably also the ONLY way Aurora even found them… lol…. Emma’s comment “no offence but how the hay did you get here”).
I definitely think her plan was to make hook believable by killing the people, but I mean… COULD she have done that with Mulan there?
In the battle at the end of Queen of Hearts, it’s true that SNOW didn’t do much against Cora but Mulan had definitely been holding her own until then (Cora just kept shifting [blinking?] away from Mulan when she got close, but Cora never got close to hurting Mulan).
I just think Cora and Mulan have a history. Of some kind.
January 11, 2013 at 5:53 pm #167962maryrose d.ParticipantElreland- I think ur right in saying that Cora and Mulan have a history. Im remembering in Lady of the Lake two points that make me think of this.
First- Cora saying that the people locked her up to be safe, as well as being Lancelot saying they did it with the knowledge of her past. I know that Cora was plotting with this and was probably never in the pit and the people didn’t even know she was in there, but if they did they would need to know who Cora was and that they needed to lock her up, she could have easily played the “I have no powers,” and they thought that locking her up would be enough. If they knew of Cora someone would need direct knowledge of who she was, and because she was in Wonderland for about 10 or more years, I would assume that only someone with direct contact would know she was in fact Regina’s mother and used to be powerful.
The next point is after Cora disappears in Emma’s nursery, Mulan states “I should have known it was Cora” and other things along that line. How could Mulan even know who Cora was if she hadn’t had contact with her. Even if everyone in the haven knew of her as Regina’s mother, Cora was all to smart to have somebody get to know her to the point where she could have been identified. It wasn’t Snow’s experiences with Cora which made her know it was her, but Emma’s mistake of telling Cora Henry’s name. Mulan must have had something to even dream of being able to tell it was Cora
Keeper of Swanfire's dream catcher, the Blue Fairy Plot Device, the contact name "Her", the lanyards, the trigger, the Netherworld room and necklace, Charming's quote on Thanksgiving, and PP's pic of Henry
