Who in the fictional world do you have a crush on? I was thinking about mine today and I’ve come to the conclusion that I might need professional help. They’re all so strange. Not a normal person in the bunch. 😕 I don’t even know if I should admit to some of them, but I will.
Not in any particular order (but #1 is Lupin)
Professor Remus J. Lupin, Harry Potter Series
Werewolf, marauder, professor, dead. 😥 I literally screamed at the scene in the hospital (if you’ve read Half-Blood Prince) when Tonks declares her love. It was my “never gonna happen” ship that actually sailed. He’d finally found love after being a tortured soul. Gah…I love him.Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold
Very disturbing and creepy. I’m glad I’m not the only one who is utterly repulsed and attracted at the same time. But I think most of it is Robert Carlyle. I can’t imagine anyone else being able to handle this role. Plus, I adore the laugh. I laugh right along with the Imp every time he giggles.Mr. Darcy, Pride and Prejudice
Millions of women love Darcy, but I hated him the first time I read the novel. I hated Mr. Bingley for being weak and listening to Darcy and I hated Darcy for being a prig. But then on my second reading, I fell utterly in love. How can I not when he has one of the most romantic quotes I’ve ever read. In response to Lizzy pestering Darcy on when he fell in love with her, he says to her “I cannot fix on the hour, or the spot, or the look, or the word, which laid the foundation. It was too long ago. I was in the middle before I knew that I had begun.” Another…gah.Dr. Ellingham, Doc Martin
He’s a curmudgeon, probably suffering from Asperger’s syndrome, and not very handsome at all. But there’s something about him I just love. The Doctor, Dr. Who
I’m not into sci-fi at all. I hate alien shows and not into space or time-travel, but I adored David Tenant as the Doctor. I watched it just for him. Haven’t watched it since he left. He really needs on American television. There’s more, but that’s enough for now…a werewolf, a sadistic imp, a stuck up prig, a nasty doctor, and a time overlord. Boy, that’s a strange list. I have to add to it later…including the whole Weasley family.

May 17, 2012 at 1:25 pm #147152obisgirlParticipantWhen I was in high school, Obi-Wan Kenobi from the Star Wars prequels and Ewan McGregor in general. I hated, hated Anakin Skywalker and the actor they chose to play him. Such a whining baby. Hence, the birth of my pen name, obisgirl which was originally obi’s girl on fanfiction.net. I ‘shipped Obi-Wan with Padme and Obi-Wan with Padme’s decoy, Sabe decoy from the first Star Wars prequel. Even had two fansites dedicated to each pairing.
In the Star Wars book series, the New Jedi Order, I had a crush on Jagged Fel, who was Wedge Antilles nephew (the actor who played Wedge in the films was actually Ewan McGregor’s uncle in real life) so I figured, Ewan’s hot, Jag has to be hot.
On Heroes, 😀 for the most part of season 1, I would say Peter Petrelli. And I was a big paire ‘shipper (doesn’t even matter to me that Peter and Claire were related, Milo and Hayden had amazing chemistry on the show and even dated in real life for a bit, much like what is actually happening between Josh and Ginny, Snow White and Prince Charming). Most of the guys on Heroes were hot in their own way, Mohinder was pretty to look at but a pretty dumb character in general. Nathan Petrelli, I didn’t like him in the first season although I don’t think anyone did but Adrian Pasdar is a fellow Taurus, so I grew to like him.
Mr. Gold/Rumpel — I will admit that I have a little crush on Mr. Gold/Rumpel. I think my boyfriend has figured this out by now, considering every time he tries to do ‘rumpel’ laugh’ it just makes me giggle, or even when someone mentions Rumpelstiltskin, I just have this big 😀 on my face. Still not admitting that I have a crush on the actor, even though Robert has a hot accent he’s still a good 2 decades older than me. So, I’m not going there yet. 😀

From our very own OUAT I love Charming, Graham, and Jefferson.
I agree with the Doctor. Probably David Tennant’s Doctor for me though.
Guy of Gisborne from BBC’s Robin Hood that concluded several years ago, but I’m still in love with the show and that character (plus, Richard Armitage in black leather….)
Loki from The Avengers is one of my latest obsessions. Tom Hiddleston is perfection.
Does anyone have animated crushes? I love Dimitri from “Anastastia,” Zuko from “Avatar: The Last Airbender,” and Flynn Rider from “Tangled.”

I also love Elijah from The Vampire Diaries. That man is my heart. 😀
May 18, 2012 at 2:37 am #147232SnickerdoodleParticipantAll my fictional crushes have been in TV or movie characters, even though I read a lot.
I will be giving away my age with these answers but I will start with
Tony Manero — Saturday Night Fever
Ken Hutchinson — Starsky and Hutch
Michael Knight — Knight Rider
Remington Steele
Ken Reeves — The White Shadow
Indiana Jones
Steve Sloan — Diagnosis Murder
James Bond
Edward Cullen — Twilight (someone had to say it) 😛
I think my liking Edward Cullen makes me a “cougar” these days 😆May 18, 2012 at 5:33 am #147242weedithParticipantI’ll join you at the senior table, sjm —-
My very first MAJOR t.v. fancrush was Ham Tyler in the original “V.” I recently got the series on DVD and found I can still get all oogly over his black-clad badassery.
Avon in “Blake’s 7.” With a secondary crush on the second incarnation of Travis in that series.
My Doctor Who was Tom Baker and in my eyes there will never be another. Okay I’ll make some allowances for Peter Davidson but that was a fleeting thing.
Serious, longstanding and ongoing one-sided t.v. love affair with both John Locke and Benjamin Linus from “Lost.” The only slash ship I have obsessed over, partly because I could just never choose between them!
And of course on “Once,” I fell madly in love with Rumpelstiltskin after seeing Skin Deep. And I have recently discovered a fangirly appreciation for Archie. Please PLEASE don’t turn him back into a cricket!!
You youngsters have to remember that in the dark days before the internet, non-traditional fancrushes could be a lonely business. I could never admit to my middle school friends that I didn’t give a flying flip about Scott Baio or Shawn Cassidy. Fanfiction was passed around in xeroxed copies that were collated and stapled together in somebody’s living room and then hawked at sci-fi conventions! (Oh, that reminds me of my earliest and quite G-rated crush on Dr. McCoy in Star Trek! I met DeForrest Kelley at a con one time and thought I would die. 😀 )

Add to that Callisto from XenaMay 24, 2012 at 9:10 pm #147659rayvahParticipant@FairyCutie86 wrote:

Yessss. Dimitri from Anastasia was my first animated crush. I remember feeling so odd about it all because I kept thinking I shouldn’t crush on him because he wasn’t Real. I finally came to embrace my animated crushes hard core.
Hotohori from Fushigi Yugi for a long time.
Gabe from this old anime called “A-ko vs. B-ko Battle 1”
Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII
Jareth from Labyrinth
Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold of course. – (I would like to say I actually crush pretty hard on Carlyle’s character Hamish Macbeth, too. Not as much – but he’s quite awesome. I don’t know how much of it is just me liking RC in the role.)May 25, 2012 at 12:29 am #147667JosephineParticipantOne of my first crushes was Prince Phillip from Sleeping Beauty. He was just the best. A little snarky, a lot of brave, and devilishly handsome. Actually, Josh Dallas’s Prince Charming seems more like Aurora’s Phillip than the Snow’s Charming. Of course, I think Charming only had a small song and about five words in the original movie. This sets the standard high and I expect from OUaT’s Prince Phillip, you hear that Casting Department and Writers!
I have to say the Flynn Rider is pretty awesome. I wasn’t expecting to love Tangled, but I did.
I have a feeling I’m going to have a girl-crush on Merida from Disney’s Brave this summer. I will definitely be seeing that when it comes out.
