Those are great- so excited to get our first official look at Lacey! And- wow, the whole family celebrating Henry’s birthday…even Gold is smiling! But what happened to make them all look horrified after? And is this a real scene or a dream sequence?

I really hope it’s not a dream sequence! They all look so happy, even Rumple. And if something happens to make them looked so scared, they were so happy before! I like the entire family together.

Henry’s cake only had eleven candles on it…but he’s already eleven. Is it just like a belated party or something? He couldn’t possibly be turning twelve already anyway.

And WHY does everyone get a birthday besides the one person who’s birthday STARTED this whole show? Hm???

Well, to tie it into what is happening in FTL of the past, I think Keith may be another part of the Robin Hood mythology. Guy of Gisborne? Sheriff of Nottingham? One of the Merry Men?

Yeah, I think Keith’s part of the Robin Hood myth. My guess is he’s the Sheriff of Nottingham, who pretty much had it out for Robin Hood. I believe Keith isn’t a very likable character, so I doubt he’s a Merry Man.

I agree but let me offer a different interpretation. If Rumple is going after Robin to kill him in FTL of the past (as evidenced by the synopsis) and does succeed in killing Robin, one of the Merry Men would want revenge and would have it out for Rumple. So, you’re a Merry Man and you see Rumple’s true love all alone. Because of what happened to you in FTL you’re character has changed (like the rest of the cast) and you take this opportunity to strike. Rumple took your leader and friend and overall good guy (Robin), so you try to seduce his love. It’s within at least the realm of possibility.

I have the feeling Henry is making a wish over the cake. A paralelism with Emma’s birthday in the pilot. And her wish -not to be alone in her birthday- became true. Now, there have been some instances of Henry wanting a “world without magic” -all that speech of “look what magic does to people, etc”- as his father did.
Maybe Henry is sending himself to the “land without magic” his father were first; Neverland? Not neccesarily in this very episode, but that could be a way to settle the plot to the season finale.

And regarding that horrified look, i agree with what has been said previously: Tamara could be related to it someway.

Ah, by the way! I like Rumpelstiltskin+ Belle story, but as someone has pointed out -sorry, i’ve just read the whole post and can’t remember who was that- he looks more like a concerned father than like a worried partner. Even she looks more like “ok, man, i know you love me but just leave alone, right?” hope it is just a feeling at first sight, but it was kinda weird :S :S

I still think he looks like a concerned boyfriend, but maybe that’s cause all I see when I see Rumple and Belle is magic and fireworks and true love. But yes, she does look annoyed. I think she is going to show him that she can take care of herself. She doesn’t need a protector. And once he realizes that, she’ll trust him more and open up more and then BAM. TLK, white glow-y light, all is restored and I can stop rocking myself.
