Welcome to the soapbox. Lots of us are also on it because tweets like that drive me NUTS. I think it might be a dream as well, but until we see the episode, everyone needs to back of Adam.

Rini, I agree. I especially agree with Adam’s civility – how he can continue to do that with such patience, while being attacked, is beyond me. I am a huge fan of this forum as well. We can debate and disagree, but it is done with respect. And people are quick to defend the writers and creators from any behavior such as the above. No need to apologize for the “soapbox” – we are all with you!

I think you are right, it is a dream sequence. Looking carefully at the birthday party stills, Mr. Gold does NOT have his cane in his hand in any of the shots. In the Belle dream sequence back when she dreams about Gold giving her a necklace, then kisses him and Grumpy comes into the shop (I think it was “The Crocodile”), if you look closely, Gold never has his cane in his hand then either.

Ooh 😯 good observation. I didn’t even notice it.

I agree about the birthday scene being a dream sequence. However, if it is Rumple’s dream, why isn’t Belle there? You would think, if Rumple was having a dream about a big family occasion, that Belle would be part of it, what with her being his true love and all.

What if this dream isn’t Rumple’s but Bae’s? It would explain why Regina isn’t there (Bae doesn’t know about her being Henry’s adopted mother so why would she be there), it would explain why Belle isn’t there (Bae hasn’t met her yet), it could possibly explain why Tamara isn’t there (Bae still loves Emma, having Tamara there would just make it awkward) and it would explain why Rumple appears to be using magic so casually (Bae fears his father’s magic use may cause harm to Henry).

Bae has to know who Regina is, otherwise what did he think was going on at the well, when Henry tried to blow it up, then Regina destroyed the curse?
“Emma, why does the crazy lady want Henry to love her?” 😮

He knows who Regina is but they haven’t technically met on screen. This may be happening in 19 or 20 based on some tweets Adam responded to complaining that Regina never learned about Neal.

It was definitely a gap, to not get Regina or Neal’s reaction to each other.

Good point, but Bae could be dreaming about an uncomplicated family occasion. Henry is there with his real family. I don’t think it’s Rumple’s dream purely because of Belle’s absence. This dream seems to reflect Bae’s view of magic- everything is fine until Rumple begins using magic.

Where is the Canada spoiler did they not do one for this episode or did I miss it. 😕

Does it have to Bae or Gold having a dream what about Henry or someone else ❓

Baes dream. I like it. That could it be. He know about Regina and Belle’s existence, but he never saw them really face to face, so he can’t dream about them.

Heros don't get their Happy Ending!
