I just rewatched the scene, and my understanding was that she wanted to send all of the other children to LWM and stay with Rumple in the EF so that Rumple’s killer would be in a different realm unable to hurt him. Otherwise, how would bringing everyone including her and Rumple stop him from being killed?

….how? I mean I don’t understand how that works. The DArk Curse sends people to LwM unless you’re in Cora-bubble.

That’s true…but Fiona says, “It will save my son. It will send the child destined to destroy him far away.” And then Tiger Lily says it will send all of the children. So was Fiona choosing to just send the children born in that winter? We know Regina was able to choose who she wanted to bring over in the Dark Curse when she cast it right? So maybe the caster can choose to not send themselves to the LwM. Otherwise, if she, Rumple and everyone else are going to the LwM, how does that “send the child destined to destroy him far away” if they all go to the same place? Rumple wouldn’t be safe then. Also I find it odd that Tiger Lily was apparently who she loved most since she took her heart?

I don’t think it played that way. Because Fiona said the final ingredient in the curse was the wolfsbane and then she only took Tiger’s heart when she tried to stop her. It didn’t seem like hse was planning on adding the heart to the curse.
I mean, none of this really makes sense at the end of the day. If her plan was to go to a land without magic (as she said) to keep her son safe, why did she then say “I can keep my power and protect him”? How does that work? If her plan was to send all the other babies away….I just cant make proper sense of this :/ Black fairy wanted to do a thing. That’s just all we need to know.
I wonder what two spells she combined to do this. Also, she said she created Storybrooke? Uh, how could she? The EF is like a thousand years in the past technologically, so how could she have really mapped out the town and all that. Why didn’t blue just destroy the scroll that had the curse written on it. If Fiona created it and she didn’t want anyone to ever create it again, no one would ever know if it was destroyed. Who the heck preserved it with the Chernabog? With obstacles common witches could get around.

None of this makes sense the longer you think about it.

She wouldn’t tell Tiger Lily she was going to take her heart ahead of time if it was preplanned, but yeah, I suppose maybe that was just a reaction. But then that means the original Dark Curse didn’t have the price of sacrificing the heart of the thing you love most. That was added later somehow? Bleh. I also thought about why didn’t Blue destroy the curse and if she was the one to put it under the Chernabog’s guard for some reason. Yeah, there was a whole lot of nonsensical going on in this episode.

Wouldn’t it be more powerful if the reason she couldn’t cast the curse was because that would have meant sacrificing the heart of her beloved recently born son?

Yes, but only if crushing the heart of the thing you love most was an unintended price of casting the Dark Curse on the Black Fairy’s part. Otherwise, it makes no sense. I’m just going to head canon that she didn’t realize the price of her own curse and it wouldn’t have worked the first time until she understood the price was her son, which would defeat the purpose of it protecting him. Otherwise that hasn’t always been the price of the Dark Curse and it was added later somehow, which bleh.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Blue Fairy added it to the curse as a way to discourage others from casting it.

I would definitely accept this since it further adds to Blue’s shadiness. Lol. The writers really missed an opportunity there in my opinion.

I thought the Black Fairy had a pretty disappointing back story. There were a lot of inconsistencies and they did nothing with Blue. Again. It pretty much was just a lot of convoluted mess that made no sense.
