Yup. Henry Sr is Regina’s father and tonight we’ll get the final proof and we can forget this chapter in our lives when we thought that Rumple might have fathered Regina and many of us were like “UHHHHHH. No.”
While everyone involved in the show sat back and laughed at us, because DUH the biggest clue as to who Regina’s bio dad is had been staring us in the face since we first saw Henry Sr last season. ๐ I guess it’s an issue that people were so apprehensive about, that we all just overlooked the obvious in our state of panic.

I KNOW! It’s the second season and finally we were like, “oh! let’s go look at the actors!”
We were looking at family trees, and timelines, and interactions between the two, and character dynamics and all we needed to do was go to IMDB.com."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"March 10, 2013 at 4:51 pm #178713ser_dragonParticipant@EvilQueen wrote:

Well we’ve been in a small rating slump. They want to really pump up this episode since it’s really the biggest of the season. We’re assured a season three, but the numbers do need to come up. Hence why they’ve gone almost overboard with everything. Tweets, pics, stuff at GetGlue (I think that’s what it is called, I don’t use it) and the first 8.5 mins of the show. They want people who love the show but who watch it Monday’s instead on Hulu or ABC.com to watch it Sunday that the numbers go up. We started the season with 3.0 rating’s share and last week, before the numbers were adjusted slightly up, it was a 2.2 or 2.3. So, we need to build some momentum if we want a full season renewal.
EDIT: after I wrote the above, @ONCEABC tweeted a sneak peak of the script, but it’s Emma’s line to Gold: “You’re Henry’s grandfather. You’re family now and I’m going to save you.” from the sneak peak. But this proves my point, I think: they want the ratings for this episode to be high, at least 8million view and at least a 2.5 ratings share. I don’t want to say that there’s a lot riding on this episode, but a sizable jump in numbers would not be unwelcome.

Talking about the reasons for the differences between Prince George and Henry Sr. You called it GF! Here’s a tweet from Jane Espenson:

@JaneEspenson Yes!!! Jane tweeting live! PS Why is Prince Henry so much taller/thinner than Henry Sr? Age can’t shrink u that much. ๐

@AuridelDawne Magic can — maybe Cora wanted to be relatively taller. ๐ And trust me, age CAN make you less thin.

I so wanted to say “my friend RumplesGirl, over on Podcast, called it, but you are so flipping limited for character space.
I also asked her about AWB’s shiny red mystery box and she said fake clues. In other words, I lied. LOL! Who can we trust?? ๐ ๐ ๐

March 10, 2013 at 7:13 pm #178738MysteryKat25ParticipantI think they mostly just released the first 9.5 minutes because they showed them at PaleyFest. It does drum up excitement though, especially for an episode of this magnitude. Hope everybody changed their clocks for tonight so there’s no excuses!
I do remember Henry Sr. saying something in the clip about the dress being stolen and we saw her pick up the mask.
Glad we can pretty much finally put to rest the Rumple is Regina’s dad thing. I never really thought that simply because of the traditional Rumple story. Just figured that Regina was the bargaining chip he almost won but lost out of when the Miller’s Daughter finds her way out of the deal (presumably by guessing his name but hopefully we shall learn tonight!).
As for the fake clues….red herrings from Jane Espenson? Never! I kid, I kid…but she does love to throw them in from time to time. Otherwise all the hardcore fans would know everything way in advance! And we know much more than we should I’m sure. However it does lead to other fun theories since sometimes it mentions places we haven’t seen or stories we didn’t think would be included and it takes us off an a new tangent so that when we see somebody else who might fit the bill we already have those gears turning about how it might fit into it (similar to the he is Frankenstein or the Wizard debate – red herrings galore for the Wizard but it got us thinking about how the Wizard might fit in later on and left it to that nice reveal at the end for Frankenstein.)
*Curse you promo for being THAT obvious. Is nothing sacred?? Promos are to tease, not give away the last 5 minutes visually!*
I’m starting to think they’re turning us into nifflers (Harry Potter reference): we get distracted very easily now by little shiny things (clues) and ignore all else. The clues do usually lead to some interesting connections. At least it makes for happy clue digging and new theories abound!
Grats RumplesGirl on getting it right! I’m sure it won’t be your last ๐

Um. Best analogy ever?
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"March 10, 2013 at 7:37 pm #178747RumplesGirlKeymasterGoodness ABC. More spoiler tweets? At least it’s from the extended sneak peak. They are really driving this episode, aren’t they? Anyone else worried it’s cause ABC is considering not giving Once a full season 3? Or is that just me?? ๐ณ
EDIT: I’ve been reading the comments on FB every time OUaT posts a pic or vid about this episode. Most of the people seem to be causal viewers, but for every “It’s gotta be Cora!” there is a pretty steady amount of “It’s gotta be Rumple/Charming/Regina/Neal” ect. Sounds like the causal viewers are really divided. That might mean the rating goes up quite a bit since people haven’t figured out who dies. So, ABC, quit while you’re ahead and let the tension build.
