I could see that working, Hook likes Emma, Regina I think now has learnt to tolerate Emma and after Emma helped her with the rock I think she has more respect for her.. We all know Rumple with either of them two for too long wouldnt work, which is why they probably split up… Rumple has been there before as has hook so there are your two captains… I can see Regina not wanting to be with Snow for too long either so she chooses hook… rather than join her parents and rumple emma chooses hook and regina probably explaining to her mother that she doesn’t trust them alone together and both captainswan fans and swanqueen fans can perceive it as her being jealous of her crush being with someone else or that she cant part from them LOL

Dying to know where the Genie flashback will fit in! I was hoping we’d see him in SB too, but I doubt it. 🙁
Yeah I’d been hoping to see him in SB too, but with the hints that we won’t see much of SB this early in the season, it may not be likely.
Unless…what if they do have a scene with Belle in SB? People have been throwing around the idea of Rumbelle’s mystery, surprising reunion involving a magic mirror. Sidney knows some stuff about magic mirrors, so if anyone could help Belle to use one, he’s the man.
I am not in that that shipping stuff like everyone else is I just watch the show and because of that I believe you could cover more ground with 3 teams instead of 2.
You don’t have to be into it, but the writers are, and they’ve been playing up the potential love triangle between Hook, Emma and Neal in just about every interview. They’ve already established that Hook and Emma relate to each other, and they want to amp up the drama so there’s maximum emotional confusion for everyone once Neal shows up alive. So they’re gonna keep building on Hook and Emma’s connection, which means that if the large group splits into smaller ones, you can bet your life that Hook and Emma will be working together.
[adrotate group="5"]I betcha it will be Snow, that makes the suggestion to split the group since she has done this in the past two times already. As for that shipping stuff the writers has also said that Hook and Regina would be more connected since season 2 is about Regina if I am not mistaken.
Plus, someone noted that the schedule for shooting had the actors for Hook, Emma and Regina working in that VCF video, so it seems a good clue those split that way. Besides what I said was a non ship reason to split into two teams–the Charmings do not trust the baddies. Three pairs of two might cover more ground but also be weaker, as one pair might lack something. They probably will want someone with NL knowledge, someone with magic, someone who can physically fight in all teams. Then, someone the good characters trust. That is interesting set up regardless of ships.

It would make sense to split the team up into 2 and keep certain people away from others. I do wonder though, since the SwanQueen fiasco, will the writers deliberately keep Emma away from Regina so as to avoid any unintentional SwanQueen undertones.

Keeper of FelixHmmm. We’ve got 6 people, two have been trained in magic (Regina and Rumple) two are excellent swordsmen (Charming and Hook) so you have to think practically.
Group One: Rumple, Charming and Emma.
Group Two: Regina, Hook, and Snow
Doesn’t this make sense on a lot of levels? Snow and Regina drama (which has always been one of the most central stories in the entire show); a magician on each side; keeping Hook and Rumple separate, a swordsman on each side; Rumple can teach Emma magic; and PapaCharming moments.

Because they’ll surely need to communicate with each other if they find anything, and I’m guessing NL doesn’t have great cell service. Maybe each team will have a magic mirror? And, to tie it in with the Rumbelle magic mirror theory, maybe a line gets crossed somewhere and Belle gets patched in? (I posted in another thread just before, wondering if Sidney’s return could potentially have something to do with Belle using a magic mirror.)

Probably wouldn’t be a wise move, because then the fans would cry foul over it. They may tweak the dialogue though, and Lana and Jen might tweak how they interact on camera. Not a major, obvious change, but I can imagine if I was in either of their positions, it’d probably be nagging a bit in the back of my mind, and it’d affect my performance.
I keep going back to what Bobby said at SDCC which is that Rumple may have appeared to be on team JR6 in ASOTM but he’s really on his own mission. Maybe Rumple takes off on his own; maybe in search of GOAT for revenge while the others search for help or clues.

I do want to see Rumpel and Emma talk about Neal, who he was when she met him. I want Rumpel to be curious about who his son grew up to be, not just the boy he lost. We haven’t seen that yet.
It could also go– Emma, Hook and Rumpel, in one team, then Charming, Snow and Regina.
If Regina has been to NL before, each group would had someone familiar. While we don’t get parent/Emma moments, we do get Snowing moments along with CS, plus Hook/Rumpel rivalry and Regina/Snow rivalry.

That’s a good breakdown as well. I just wonder if Snowing would leave Emma alone with Rumple/Hook especially since those two are not really…friendly.
But Phee also makes a good point about “how would they communicate?” Though, perhaps, Rumple’s got some sort of magic doodad up his sleeve. Bless him.

Rumple, Emma, Snow
Charming, Hook, Regina
or if they split into 3 teams
Rumple, Snow
Emma, Regina
Hook, Charming
Rumple and Hook would need to be kept apart as would Regina and Snow because of the history. Regina and Rumple could be a volatile mix so the Charmings may want to keep them apart too. I imagine Charming would want to keep Hook away from Emma and Snow and Charming thinks he can trust Rumple with Emma and Snow’s safety. Also it would make sense for the Charmings to have one of themselves to keep an eye on the “villains” in the group. Since Charming is the only one that gets on with all 3, it would make sense that he is the one to do it, plus I can see him casually trying to warn Hook off of Emma.
