First Look at Robin Hood from EW

I think RG is correct and that the pole is Rumple’s walking stick. Look at the ends. They’re similar. Not curved, but cylindrical. Or it could be like Angie said and it will be put in post-production, which was my original thought but now that that RG posted that pic I really think it’s Rumple’s walking stick.

I enjoy that I’m getting credit for something I didn’t do, but that honor goes to Slurpeez 🙂

I think it’s a post-production thing myself. I *love* the idea of the Trident.

The ends look different to me- the walking stick looks rounded at the top, and the stick Neal is holding looks flat. Also, it’s hard to tell and maybe it’s just the lighting, but the stick Neal is holding appears to have a blue tint.  I’m not sure why Rumple would have held on to his old walking stick once he was the Dark One anyway, and the way Neal is holding it makes me think magical object. But who knows?  It’s all speculation. 🙂

That walking stick was a representation of everything he hated about himself. I think he broke it in half the first chance he got.

It probably is a post-production thing.

You never know about Rumple.  He kept his limp in Storybrooke as a remind.  Who knows how his mind really works.

Neal’s gonna see his Papa’s castle!! Can’t wait to see his reaction to that.

@LovesCake in the chat just suggested that the “pole” is really the TRIDENT and it can open portals. Phee has made a similar suggestion in many other threads that this could be the case. And maybe the trident only take you from your present world to NL. It’s a one way.

I would be psyched if that thing ends up being the trident that they’re gonna use to open a portal! You’d think they could make an actual prop trident without too much hassle though? Unless it’s gonna do something magic-y that requires special effects anyway, so they’re just gonna CGI the whole thing. I now feel the urge to look at every screencap of Mr Gold’s shop, to see if the trident is in SB or not.

So now, from a TV perspective it makes total sense for RH and Neal to interact if Tamara is the daughter of RH and Marian. Neal has to tell RH about the terrible things Tamara has done.

A few headcanons ago, I decided that if Robin was gonna be Tamara’s father, Neal should meet him in FTL and tell him all about the horrible woman who deceived him and tried to kill him, only to have Robin later find out that that nasty piece of work was his long lost baby girl. And now, there’s Neal and Robin chatting away in FTL.

Also, how does Belle fit in. We know that RH is going to “renew” this alliance with Belle and pay back his debt to her. Does she go to FTL or does he go to SB?

Right now my money is on him going to SB. That thinking depends on the theory of his pregnant wife having been sent to our world being true. If he knows Neal is going back to the world that pregnant Marian went to, then Robin would wanna come with.

Well bae was injured and remember when he was younger and cut his leg and refused his fathers magic maybe mulan and that could only heal neal a little and he needed more and thats what the fight was abt the lake ? It would b a nice role reversal havin neal use his dads cane from when he loved him most

I still reckon Robin and Regina will eventually end up in the same world. Like I said in my previous post, it’s especially likely if Neal finds a way back to our world and Robin wants to come too, to find his long lost Marian and their child. So Robin ends up in SB, which is where Regina will end up as well, after they save Henry.
