There’s also the possibility that she’s wearing a strapless dress in that photo, although all of these theories seem equally plausible. 😀 And if you’ve ever worn a strapless dress, you’ll know that you look naked if you only see a head shot. Just sayin’. *is probably wrong* 😎

I agree…as hard as he has fought for Bae I don’t see him knowingly treating another of his own children the way he’s treated Regina. But what a shock if it turns out to be true and he didn’t know…first Henry then Regina…I’m sure Rumple will be beside himself.
January 30, 2013 at 4:59 pm #170738the fairestParticipantYeah, I’m not sure if Rumpel would knowingly raise his daughter to be a monster. Even for the Dark One, that’s pretty cruel. He spent so much time obsessing over finding Baelfire and changing for him, so having him turn around and destroy his daughter’s life is just…it just doesn’t jive with what we know of Rumpel’s character. Yes, he’s a horrible example of a father and lover, but he does love them. He truly loves Belle and he truly loves Baelfire. He doesn’t always express his love in the proper way, but it’s there. I truly belive that Rumpel would have at least tried to protect Regina if he knew she was his daughter.
The writers need to be careful with this particular storyline. One wrong step and the whole is ruined.

Amen to that! Besides, we’re all talking about how Rumpel would react – what about Regina? Wouldn’t she probably go ballistic after finding out the jerk who helped ruin her life is her father? 😯

First she’s gotta get past the fact that she’s been raising Rumple’s grandson. 😀
I think Regina will be in shock if it turns out Rumple is her real father. Honestly, I’m not sure how she’ll handle it. Despite the fact that she and Rumple have been at each others throats for so long I actually think her relationship with him is more stable than the one she has with her mother…imo.

This! Also, given Rumple’s considerable skillz, and the fact that Cora wasn’t at the height of her power yet back then, I don’t buy that she’d be able to fool him and fake a magical paternity test. So if they want to go this route and have me believe it, they’d better have a super cool trick up their sleeves.

I agree. I think this has been a MASSIVE red herring on the part of H and K and the other writers to make us think Regina and Rumple are related, but while I’m willing to concede that Henry Sr may not be Regina’s father, it can’t be Rumple for all the reasons people have said. Plus, my favorite reason: it would make the already messed up family tree even more complicated and messed up

Yeah, I think Rumple KNOWINGLY being Regina’s father is out. It could certainly be red herring. I still think King George was married to Cora once, and that Regina is George’s daughter.

Or, King George had an affair with Cora once he found out his wife couldn’t have any kids.
