Flashback of Rumples Father

He will also appear in Episode 3.11.

He is described as dissatisfied, self-centered and ruthless.

I read here: http://article.wn.com/view/2013/10/23/Once_Upon_a_Time_casting_news_The_Dark_One_Rumplestiltskin_g/#/related_news that Rumple’s father has been cast.

Something got my attention: Rumple’s father’s name is Colin. I looked up the name meanings of Colin and Killian (because they sound similar), and found something interesting. These names have opposite meanings. I’m not suggesting anything because I don’t know where they are going with this, but that did raise my eyebrows.

That is very interesting. 

Names are very important on Once.  Cora named Regina Regina because she wanted her to be queen one day and Baelfire needed a strong name because his father was seen as the town coward. If Colin and Killian carry opposite meanings, it’s probably intentional.

I think Rumple’s father will appear in present day Neverland as a vision as Rumple confronts and overcomes his abandonment and father issues.

Personally, I hope it’s before 311. Like may 309-when they try to rescue Henry. Emma could use some magic lessons around that time.
