    (Sorry for my horrible english)

So in this episode we learned that when flying monkeys bite people they turn into flying monkeys too.

This reminded me of the story that Granny told Red in the episode “Red Handed”: Red’s granfather was a werewolf and when Granny was little he bit her and she became a werewolf too.

Also both are magical creatures and both can trasform to human form (unless Walsh was the exception).

    Now another important thing

Ruby/Red didn’t appear since season 2 but she appeared twice this episode (the enchanted forest and the diner)

Granny appeared twice (town’s meeting and the diner)

Dr. Whale appeared twice (town’s meeting and the hospital)

So here’s my theory: Ruby will tell Whale the story that Granny told her and he will understand that there is a connection between werewolfs and flying monkeys. Than he will do a lot of tests on Ruby’s and Granny’s blood and then close to the end of the season he will discover a way to cure the flying monkeys and make them human again.

I know that the chances that they’re actually going to give Ruby or Whale a plot is not so great and the reason Ruby didn’t appear until now is because of the actress and that new show but it’s just really weird that from all episodes they chose to bring Ruby to this one. Also I want to see my otp having at least one scene together is it really that hard?

    So any opinions? 🙂

That’s a really interesting idea. I also noticed the similarities between curse of the werewolf and curse of the winged monkey. I bet some sort of magic potion or scientific antidote could cure those suffering from the curse. Or if there is no magic potion, perhaps some sort of magic device could be created to help manage the disorder, similar to Ruby’s red cape which prevents from from phasing into a wolf every full-moon.

I would LOVE if they did something like that, which is probably why they will do something far more lame.  there will likely be absolutely no connection or comparison made,  and Whale and Ruby are there solely as background set decoration or plot device for Snow.  I hope not and they do the plot they backburnered for Nl.

That would be so great! Like KFC said, it’s such a cool idea that it probably won’t happen, but someone needs to write that fanfic if the show doesn’t do it. I’m having visions of Granny agreeing to Whale doing some work on Ruby, and warning him to not “play doctor” with her or he’ll meet her crossbow. 😛

Part of me thinks that the transformation from human to animal thing is too obvious a connection for them to not be timing Ruby’s return deliberately, (none of us expected to see her at all this early in the season, and now she’s been in both eps so far), but part of me doesn’t wanna get my hopes up for it.
