Another post to keep track of the headlines in the Storybrook Mirror, although I’m not sure this won’t be obsolete next season 😀

For instance:
– the “Welcome Home, John Doe” headline also has a story on “Remnants of Seventeenth Century Colonial Settlement Uncovered at Harestock Bridge”. Above page is “Comet Marley Makes Debut Appearance”. On the back page is a partial US weather map with red dots. Can’t tell if the red dots signify normal cities or something else. Plus part of the map is shaded.
– the “Ex-Jailbird Emma Swan Birthed Babe Behind Bars”. The picture was cropped to only show 6in vs 5’6” on other picture. Has story on “Pumpkin week… seasonal family treat..”. Above that is another partial “A Cassou??…. Diary” I can’t read it.
– “7 Year Old Boy Finds Baby on Side of Road” Trying to read reporter’s name … “M.SOPARLO” ??
– “HEARTLESS!”. Other story is “Storybrooke Elementary Girl is Crowned New Champion at Regional Spelling Bee”. Is that Grace/Paige? How big “regional”? Can’t read caption under picture. Hmm ..interesting choice of words ‘crowned’. Maybe I’m reading too much into that word.
– the newspaper MM is holding. The back looks different than the other one. Maybe it’s just the whole page showing. Two other articles on weather page. One is the charity event and I can’t read the one on the left.May 20, 2012 at 5:10 am #147354malchoreParticipantTwo of those newspapers contain continuity errors. The first is the one that is reporting a “local boy” finding a baby by the side of the road. The boy (who we now know was Pinocchio) was reported as, “A local boy…” Well that doesn’t make sense because the boy was not known to anyone in the community. He was himself and orphan. So who would consider him “local”?
Another goof is the byline that reads “Storybrooke Elementary Girl is Crowned New Champion at Regional Spelling Bee.” Okay, well people from Storybrooke can’t leave town. And strangers never come into town. So….where did this “regional” spelling bee take place? ❓

I posted this same thing question elsewhere. To summarize. Knowing folks can’t leave Storybrooke, I wonder if SB is the town name and also the county’s name. The county could include the other fairy tale lands or realms. Because why use the word regional instead of just the school name for the spelling bee?
I’m also curious about the Harestock bridge story that’s mentioned in the paper.
May 21, 2012 at 10:14 pm #147498icebladeParticipantThe “local boy” thing could simply be based on a lie by Pinocchio or an assumption made by the article writer, which is rather common.
May 27, 2012 at 3:29 am #147786merryleeplayingParticipantThe Ex-Jailbird headlines mentions a ” a cassoule diary” above it. I looked it up according to wiki “…a rich, slow-cooked casserole originating in the south of France, containing meat (typically pork sausages, goose, duck and sometimes mutton), pork skin (couennes) and white haricot beans”. Another reference to beans.
